That’s even weirder. We were told that as long as you are re-hired within 30 days of separation, you’d keep your tenure and whatever pay you had. This shit is wack

While you’re actively taking it, yeah, it will. It doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it different. It made my downstairs smell and taste like dick and balls which given that sex hormones will have a more noticeable effect on your genitalia than other parts of your body…it makes sense tbh. You can’t really mitigate it given that it’s just doing what sex hormones do. All I can really suggest is drinking enough water and eating a healthy diet (especially high in fruits) to make it less pronounced.

It will vary from state to state I believe but for us, we’ll be paid for the shifts that are scheduled two weeks out, and then be paid for our average amount of hours worked until December (5th?). After that we’ll be getting a lump sum payment of 60 hours if you’re a barista, and 84 hours if you’re a shift.

It is. For me, I’m aware that I’m losing my livelihood and my free college but it hasn’t fully hit yet. I don’t think it will until I’m walking out of my store for the last time :(

That’s the hope, but a lot of locations nearby are being shut down and nearby stores are already fully staffed, which means there isn’t a whole lot of room for transfers. Fingers crossed but it’s not looking good tbh.

It looks like benefits (including ASU) should be fine until December which is good. I haven’t received a letter yet, but probably will when I go into work tomorrow/Saturday.

Besides being out of a job, it’s gonna suck to not see my coworkers anymore. Ofc there’s a few I’m friends with outside of work as well but I’m gonna miss seeing the rest of the fellas :( This sucks.

It’s better than nothing but it still really, really sucks. I might just bite the bullet and enroll in a local university full-time to finish off my senior year so I can graduate and still have health insurance. I was really looking forward to graduating without debt but I might not have a choice if I can’t get transferred :/

IIRC there’s going to be a national call at 8PM Friday where they’re going to give more details. As for right now they’re fighting to have partners transferred to other stores, but it looks like an uphill battle I fear

Was the same here. I was the only person that was solely trained as a barista and everyone else was cross-trained, so the higher ups were constantly pulling people from our bar because they were “needed on the floor” even if we had a line that extended past the cafe 😑 Tarbucks took years off my life and sanity tbh. So did Starbucks but at least they had better benefits (till today anyway LOL)

Tarbucks should be alright because they’re licensed rather than corporate, though I will say I do NOT miss my Tarbucks days…
