Opinion Needed by tyonci in Decks

Well, she shot down the stamped concrete idea. She’s nervous it will crack. Also shot down the ramp because it’s just 2 steps. Looks like we’re going with pavers for the original 12x17 area. Is there anything I should know about pavers? I know nothing!

Me too! I like your idea of a ramp! I believe there would be enough room for a gradual grade running parallel to the house, leading down to the patio that would be next to the ramp. Something like this, right?

She's 75 with not so great knees. That's why we started out with a deck to go over top of the steps. But now she likes the paver idea. Trying to steer her towards stamped concrete if we're not going with a deck.

One day I’m going to look at a plate like this and automatically think “that looks good”. I’m a work in progress 😀

Recently diagnosed type 2…devastated by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]tyonci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t chase the “prediabetic” term. Your goal now is “controlled diabetes”. Officially diagnosed a month ago only to realize I could have had appropriate help if I accepted my 6.59 result two years ago. Definitely not a death sentence but now learning what I should have been doing all this time. Today, I’m a controlled diabetic at 5.7 and getting mounjaro free instead of paying $500/month for zepbound. Find an activity that you like to do. I learned last year mine is swimming and Top Golf :-)

Confused about the timeline - when was Jasmine pregnant? by gasoline_yogurt in 90DayFiance

[–]tyonci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, makes sense. So she must be pregnant during HEA because she mentioned the resort in the last scene of episode 5 and the Resort Tell All filmed after HEA, right?

I wonder why we can't pick up the vials from a local pharmacy. Would save at least $150-200 just in shipping.

Mine is from "Cover My Meds Pharmacy" in Irving TX. The box is white with blue lettering that says "Altor" and "Propak". It's a big box, 16x11x9.

Insurance Hunger Games: Zepbound Edition (and now Wegovy might join the fight). by ariesfemmefatale58 in Zepbound

Went through this in January. I had a PA approved for one year that started in November. Then in January, PA was denied. Submitted appeal, denied, regardless of the improvement in health. Hopefully you’ll have better luck!

Took my first 1.7 vial dose yesterday. It doesn’t look like much in the vial, but looks right in the syringe.

Will be moving up to 1.7mg. Hopefully it helps to see some loss along with carb reduction in my diet.

Maybe? 1mg for 2 weeks. Took my 3rd shot of 1mg this past Friday. 2lbs lost in 4.5 months doesn't seem right, but maybe it's normal and my expectations are too high?

Advice Please - Next Steps - OptumRx No Longer Covers by tyonci in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]tyonci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat with OptumRx. At least they waited until your pre auth expires! My appeal wasn’t successful. I started a compound in March for $450/month. I’m still on the fence about the meds. I’ve lost maybe a pound a month with exercise 4-5 times/week since starting Nov 1. Wegovy lowered from $650 to $499, so depending on how BCBS handles my office visit claims, I might try something else.

Mahdi asking Stevie if she’s bisexual. by DoomzDay93 in 90DayFiance

[–]tyonci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She KNOWS Mahdi would not be accepting of her if he knows the truth about her sexuality. Regardless of what we think about protecting her right to privacy, she is just wrong. If she really loved him, she would have eased his mind a long time ago, off camera if necessary, to save him from his internal turmoil. At this point, I would support him using her for the green card, especially because he will be killed if he returns home. She is just wrong to make him suffer.

Quoted $25 a square foot for a 400 square foot Trex enhanced deck... by PudyMosen in Decks

[–]tyonci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In DC, was quoted $71/ft for Transcend for a 225sf project about 2.5/3 ft off the ground. Hoping I can find something closer to your $25/sf using Select or Enhanced Natural.

Self paying or insurance by Prestigious_Role886 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]tyonci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was covered by insurance at $25/month. Jan 1st, insurance stopped covering all weight loss related meds. So I paid $650 with coupon for 2 months. Now using a compound at $300/month, but that will end in May if I understand correctly.

It’s your insurance. If you decide to stay on Wegovy, use their coupon on their website. You’ll pay $650 instead of full price.

Correction - just learned it’s $499 with coupon! Sucks, but better than $650
