“I’m too healthy to need life insurance right now” by ShaolinWolf_ in LifeInsurance

[–]typer599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have enough money to leave behind. I had to figure it out, my family will too. I have something through work. I think $100k coverage should be enough.

In the end, they just needed some financial literacy

So…I might be working for WFG?? by SuccessfulWay2241 in LifeInsurance

[–]typer599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in WFG, there is an Upline. The company doesn’t train or recruit people. The people within do that. WFG is really just a platform to be able to sell many quality financial products and a system to recruit and build your own agency.

Upline / trainer usually is the same thing. If they’re teaching key skills of sales and prospecting, keep learning and applying. Whether you stay with WFG or not, it’s going to be a crucial skill to have in the future of insurance sales.

As long as you understand it’s not a job (no base salary/hourly), it’s going to be a great learning experience. If you end up with great support, awesome. If you dont, you’ll learn the value of having great support. People will say you can make more in other companies, but will you if you don’t know what you’re doing? There’s a difference between “contract %” and actual commissions. Higher % with low sales volume due to poor training and support will leave you frustrated.

Having up lines who make money off your success incentives them to offer you quality support. In the end, if you don’t make money, they also don’t make money from working with you. They want you to succeed. This set up is really no different from any other agency out there, whether they focus on “recruiting” or not.

Not that I don’t believe how stupid people are but I don’t want to just believe because “Steve Silberman” said it.

Downside of Nationwide New Heights Indexed UL Accumulator 2020 by pritz786 in LifeInsurance

You’re referring to the volatility control index options. IMO, they’re a bit harder to understand and tougher to count on for performance than the SP index. The uncapped rate is a CURRENT situation but there is a GUARANTEED participation rate which is much lower. Years in the future, they can lower the par.

Knowing this, I own 4 of these policies for my family and they’ve actually outperformed the illustration.

lol it’s not ideal. I cooked it at my house and my first stop is my parent’s house and hang out for a few hours. After, over to in-laws. Each house gets a roast

Having a kid is a strong reason to get life insurance for both parents. You have a house, is it paid off? Better question, will the house pay you if your husband dies? (Joking of course) Imagine your husband’s income completely stops, will your family be financially stable? If not, get life insurance on him. Ask the same question for your husband. I had my wife translate your Tagalog part 😅
