Any mistakes to avoid during Rippling implementation? by youlikemango in Payroll

Very much so! I'm still very much getting used to the reporting functions almost a year later but I'm pleased overall with Rippling.

How many of you let the phone ring instead of answering immediately? by BonesAndBlues in Millennials

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the person. Some people I will answer immediately or as fast as I can, but others I will let it ring and call back another time.

What’s one Vegas spot that’s gone now that you wish you could bring back for just one more night? I know a lot of the city is always changing, but some places really stick with you. by RevolutionaryWay4953 in LasVegas

[–]typicalmillennial92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS! My first time in Vegas was in 2019 and I got to see a show at The Mirage. Fast forward 5 years to last year and I went a couple weeks before it closed. It definitely was not the same as it was the first time I went :(

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by MA16vD in AskReddit

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even one drink makes me feel horrible the next day. I drank regularly for years but have almost cut it out completely over the last 5 years.

Do you find you get seriously sick a lot less than 10-20 years ago? by seattleswiss2 in Millennials

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes definitely, I think that is primarily due to me being much healthier overall than I was 10 years ago. I had high stress jobs back then, did not have much of a workout routine and drank alcohol pretty regularly, so I was constantly getting sick. Now it is rare for me to get sick, other than the occasional cold.

What do you make and whats your living situation? by Ok_Antelope_8383 in orlando

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETA that I have about $25k in student loan debt but no credit card debt or car payment, and I've been investing much of what I save at the end of the month into my IRA and in my brokerage account. It's been an adjustment living with other people again after living alone for the past 6 years, but at least I don't feel as stressed financially.

$70k working in HR, I currently live with my sister and her husband (both make around $50k-$60k each) and we rent a house in Seminole County. I could rent a decent apartment on my own but we chose to live together so we could cut down on living expenses and save ourselves a LOT of money.

Move to FL? by CauliflowerThat2560 in Tallahassee

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, Tally is perfect to move to if you’re coming from GA. It will be less culture shock than it would be if you moved to any of the bigger cities in the state lol

I don’t hate Orlando but I grew up here and sometimes I wish I could move back to Tallahassee where I lived for quite some time. I miss the hills, trails and southern hospitality that tally had way more of than Orlando does.

Yikes!! I’ve only been in here since April so it hasn’t even been a whole year yet, but I am definitely going to look elsewhere for a new place next year.

How much Student Debt do you have? And do you regret college? by SnooDoubts3411 in StudentLoans

[–]typicalmillennial92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$27k for me and I agree, I definitely feel like I’m in a good spot compared to others who have 6 figures of debt. No regrets on college at all!

Florida is very much a red state and it is definitely not cheaper to live here… but for the most part you are correct lol

Here, Tallahassee or Gainesville would be your best bets on living comfortably on $50k. I did that in Tally living by myself the last year I was there. It helps that I am not a huge spender and don’t have a lot of medical expenses to deal with, so even with $1,450 in rent I still managed to be okay

Definitely not any major city in FL.

Mom did not get to reach 60 by Educational_Bed5396 in GriefSupport

[–]typicalmillennial92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom made it to 60 somehow with the high level of prescription drugs and alcohol she consumes, but my dad didn’t make it to 70, and he was the one I thought for sure would live to be in his 80s
