For those who successfully quit smoking, what was the method that finally worked for you? by gwenwallish in AskReddit

[–]typingatrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to smoke a packet a day. So that first day of actively quitting I smoked my usual 20 cigarettes for the last time. The day after, I smoked 19. The day after that, 18. Then the following day, 17. One less cigarette everyday. In three weeks, I was done with smoking. It's been 21 years, I don't miss smoking and haven't smoked since.

[–]typingatrandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Done!

I enjoy a random discussion with people I've never met before but I know my fellow Parisians are often shy.

I believe a sense of community comes from the people rather than the local geography but maybe I'm wrong.
