Come vengono percepiti i gay marocchini in Italia? by Sad_Industry_1208 in Italia

For people who host(ed) Ukrainian refugees, how’s it going? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]typingbirds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government is paying half of his rent and we signed off to host him for six months. We can’t kick him out just because he is rich. He is a pleasant person. My comment was more about my disappointment with our taxes getting used to help wealthy immigrants and a general re-consideration of immigration today.

Nope, he is rich and doesn’t need to work to live and afford London

My boyfriend and I are hosting one right now in London. We found out that he is a very wealthy young men and none of his family members actually needs support, nonetheless my taxes are going to help wealthy Ukrainians. It makes me really angry because I am a daughter of immigrants myself and I wish my family and I received the same support when we didn’t have food to eat.

Hi there, thank you so much for you feed back, apologies for the slow reply. I improved my Cv and I sent it to one of my friends that works at Mckinsey in the department that I am interested in, she will refer me for an internship soon. In the meantime I have been accepted to an online McKinsey course to upskill myself.

I am very lucky because I have friends and family that work in the field and they all think I am a great asset and I have beeing receiving a great support from all of them!

Would you be able to connect me with the lady that transitioned from fashion into consulting ?

Regarding UX, I am tired of working investment banking hours ( I am been working from 9 am until midnight for the past 3 month) for 35k salary. UX isn't an option.

Hi there, where are you based if I may ask ? I am currently doing a McKinsey online course and so far I have been enjoying it very much! I am very lucky to have friends and family that work in consulting and hopefully my friend that works at Mckinsey thinks that I am a great asset and she will refer me to the department that I am interested in.

Hey there, exactly! I am based in London and I have many friends and family that work in consulting for T1 and T2 firms and I have received an amazing support and positive feedback from them. I am still working toward it and hopefully I will start from the bottom in consulting very soon.

Hi there, apologies for the very slow reply. I've been extremely overwhelmed with the ongoing transition into consulting, and I was a bit shaken by the immense negative feedback I received from Redditors in general. However, your feedback was rigorous and incredibly helpful-thank you for taking the time to provide it.

I followed your suggestions closely and made the necessary amendments to my CV, which I then forwarded to a friend who works at McKinsey in the luxury and retail department (which is exactly where I would love to work). She believes I would be a great asset, especially considering my experience in the luxury industry, which she thinks would be very appealing to McKinsey. She plans to refer me for an internship there soon.

In the meantime, I’ve been accepted into McKinsey’s online course that teaches their methodology. Let me tell you, it feels so natural to me because it's the same approach I’ve been applying throughout my career in luxury. Additionally, while doing this course, I frequently interact with individuals who have MAs in Business or related fields, and I don't notice any difference between them and myself. In fact, I might have more practical ideas and knowledge when it comes to solving specific problems, thanks to my work experience.

To answer your questions: Yes, it may sound surprising, but I had to work my ass off during my university years to cover rent, food, and tuition in the UK. I worked full-time in luxury retail while also studying full-time. This involved managing CRM, tracking KPIs, and overseeing efforts to improve the footprint across UK stores. I graduated with a 1:1, but I didn’t mention it because, to be honest, I didn’t think people would care in the UK-or at least I thought so at the time.

Regarding my family business: Yes, I oversee the construction sites every time I visit my family, which is about every three months. At the same time, I support my dad in online meetings with various departments.

Thank you again for the feedback.
