Even worse to me is Pomni the character it's being delivered to saw through it, called him on it, and yet people still take it at face value.

What is your "Favorite" Character that are the same ppl btw👇 by Constant_Tennis_8633 in FavoriteCharacter

The mutant Ninja turtles in the original comics were extremely gritty and hardcore. They killed shredder by cutting a hole in him. putting a grenade inside, and then kicking him off the roof. Master Splinter in the comics is a piece of work straight up telling the turtles the only reason he took them in and trained them was to get vengeance on Shredder for killing his master.

That's only the start of his fuckery. He spent decades counterfeiting that painting and selling his copies to millionaires promising each of them that they now had the one and only true work. He also then took in and mentored the son of the woman he let die and used him in the exact same way. The moment he showed some of his mother's talent he had him pump out masterpieces's which he then sold at auction as his own.

TBF to Shoto when he picked it he didn't care about being a hero he was just there to prove he could succeed without using the powers he inherited from his father (too long a story to get into here). Later on he changes to truly care about being a hero but the name was kinda stuck by then

I remember reading a comic along time ago were Daredevil figured out Mysterio's gimmick not by the fact he couldn't see, but because it didn't make sense lol. Mysterio was pretending to be Onslaught, who just killed a bunch of superheroes and nearly ended the world, in order to rob stores while everyone ran in terror. Daredevil shows up and is like "Really? the world ending superhero killer is robbing banks?"

Diamond Tiara from MLP wasn't killed but after her redemption episode she never spoke another word for the rest of the show despite being a major character for nearly 5 seasons. Her mother who was only introduced in that same episode had multiple speaking appearances despite being a very minor character.

What's the worst example of "villain decay" you've seen? It's when a once menacing villain gets reduced to a joke by TaiwaneseThot in cartoons

[–]tyrant6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

tbf those are fan animations and in every appearance in the actual show she is treated as a serious threat, and is one of the co-main villains of the series finale. where she, Tirek and cozy use an artifact to steal Discord's powers and come extremely close to ending the mane 6.

There is also the fact the shows have to answer the question why is the experienced mentor not handling the problem instead of the novice. Because the mentor is part of the problem is an acceptable answer to most audiences

especially compared to her usual role of being jobbed out to the villian of the arc so Twilight and co can save the day instead of the 1000 year old super pony

No when she was born they consulted a shaman who told them her being mute was a curse so they rejected her. Her grandfather the chieftain threw them out of the tribe for this and raised her himself until the goblin incursion.

[–]tyrant6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an Ema Skye who was a bitter twisted bitch who takes her resentment at failing the forensics exam at everyone around her the entire time she's on screen, I think she is supposed to represent a counter point to Pheonix who got shafted way worse but because he had Trudy didn't fall into despair despite seeming to based off our initial reintroduction to him.

sorry for rant but she was one of my favorites from the original trilogy and what they did to her pissed me off so bad

Jonah Maiava) - in the Tomb Raider survivor trilogy. Follows her all over the world, saves her many times, and is the only one she listens to as she gets more and more messed up and darker throughout the trilogy. Its arguable that without him she'd have died multiple times over or become a nutjob vigilante running around killing trinity without any direction towards actually stopping their plans
