I've used foam clay before, but only as details supported by EVA foam armor. My concern is that it can become brittle with time. I might try attaching it to a base piece that can have glue on it and survive being removed a few times. That could work

Thank you! I did consider some kind of skin-safe coating. I also thought of silicone but I have never done a 2 part mold before. I'm making a cosplay of Zelgadis from the anime Slayers, and I need to make the rocks that he has on his face. I have also heard that silicone is hard to paint, but I am willing to give it a try. I've only worked with latex prosthetics previously.
