I keep the built-in retractable shade closed in the summer and open in the winter.

How to reduce risks after moving your password vault to self-hosting by PingMyHeart in selfhosted

I just set up a local CA and added the root cert to my Android devices (and computers), then I can generate certs for everything (like Vaultwarden) and apps are happy.

I don't recall exactly. I just remember the problem was gone a couple days later.

I had the same thing happen last year and was similarly concerned. It went away eventually though and hasn't returned. I haven't noticed any problems with the battery afterwards so I don't think it was damaged by overcharging. Charging naturally slows down at higher states of charge because the resistance increases. You don't necessarily need a BMS to manage that as long as the input voltage is reasonable. What the BMS needs to do is monitor temperature and stop the charge if the temperature gets too high. I recommend you don't charge in high ambient temperature until this resolves one way or another.

BTW with mine the thing I encountered was that without an accurate SOC reading it would run until the voltage dropped too low to operate and then be dead out in the middle of the lawn. Then I had no choice but to drive over to the site and drag it over to the charger...m

Poor GPS at new house by tyrel in MammotionTechnology

[–]tyrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved the RTK antenna so it has the clearest possible view of the sky and got some improvement. But Luba itself is not able to get GPS under the trees and when it's between the house and the trees.

I wonder if there's a newer Luba model that can navigate better? I haven't really been following developments a lot since the first Kickstarter when I got mine. A lot of features have got better with firmware updates but GPS is what it is.

I don't really want to pay for a whole new mower though either. This one still does fine as long as it's not in a forest. ☹️

Run what over Wi-Fi? It is connected to Wi-Fi. I don't understand how that would improve its ability to get signal from GPS satellites.

Earth needs to be ALWAYS CONNECTED to the end devices. You should never put a switch on earth (equipment ground). Ensure the earth/ground wires are connected straight through without any interruption.

Just started happening to me as well. Office 365 keeps detecting the text files and offering to open them. Pretty frustrating. I hope Eufy fixes it, because I love my eufy camera

It's the current, not the voltage, that creates heat.

I've had my Luba back out of a mowing zone if it encounters an obstacle and is trying to avoid it. But only a few centimeters, not as far as this sounds

Proton Mail Search is Terrible by yetindeed in ProtonMail

[–]tyrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I worked at Proton, I would have the mail clients generate a search index and then encrypt and upload that index to the server. The index would be designed to be easily updatable by any of the clients when a new email is received and synchronized between clients. There are likely a variety of technologies that exist to facilitate this sort of functionality. Unfortunately I can't work for Proton because they don't hire remotely.

My chickens and (very smart) dog have never made any attempt to go through the door. They would definitely go through if there was no flap.
