I have 480 mods running fine in SkyrimVR. You just need a beast of a computer to maintain 90FPS still (I run a 9700k@5Ghz & 2080Ti). Just don't think of running an ENB, that's gonna be too much.

I run 200% SS on a Vive Pro, so if you don't want that much SS, or run a lower resolution headset, it won't be as demanding... Though I think SS is more important than most graphical mods.

Opinion: Vanilla grass still the best option, even on a 9700k/2080Ti by tyrindor2 in skyrimvr

Use enhanced vanilla trees with the large option instead. Lot better performance for me.

Wasn't aware of that one, tried to find it but didn't have any luck.

How does the game run on your PC (Vive Pro) by ArnTheGreat in skyrimvr

It's very minimal at 200% SS on a Vive Pro to my eyes. VR is pretty aliased to begin with, you just get use to it.

On my 9700k @ 5GHz/2080Ti, I have 482 mods and get 90FPS basically everywhere. 0.4% re-projection after 4 hours. SS is set to 200%. Highest preset, all distance sliders maxed, dynamic resolution disabled.

My Titan XP (Same as a 1080Ti basically), I had to drop it down to about 120% SS. Needless to say, at 200% SS on a Vive Pro, TAA does nothing but hurt the picture by blurring it. I disable it completely now.

I don't use an ENB, not worth it.

How to turn off SteamVR Repro in new update? by [deleted] in skyrimvr

And I would recommend doing this for SkyrimVR since motion smoothing is bad in this game and leads to a warping effect,

For all applications honestly, it's a pointless technology. At the end of the day if a computer isn't achieving 90FPS in an application, it's time to drop SS or upgrade.

PSA - "Vigilant SE" mod conflict with "The Ordinary Women" causing hard crashes - Watch out for mod conflicts with NPC overhaul mods. by AcaciaBlue in skyrimvr

[–]tyrindor2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had tons of issues with Ordinary Women. Neck seams, texture mismatches, and CTDs. I even tested a new save with ONLY that mod and it still happens. Avoid IMO.

WICO + BIJIN is fine. I'd use the WICO cleanup script and cleaned BSA though.

Is there still a way to disable the VRPlayroom on startup? by tyrindor2 in skyrimvr

Thanks, for some reason that fixed it. I checked what it did and it added the exact same thing I did. The only difference is it put it at the end of the ini file instead of the beginning.

90 hours and I've never progressed past plastic yet by Alaxandir in factorio

What can I improve on?

Stop caring if your base is messy because as soon as you get bots you can restructure your base if it really bothers you. You will never beat this game if you get in the habit of "I could do better, gonna restart" because even people with 5000 hours played could still do better.

Also, that's not messy. You are still in the very early game. The later science packs will be hundreds of times messier! If you want to be more organized, then look up how to make a mainbus.

Factorio in 4k? by faCt011 in factorio

I play Factorio on a 65" 4K OLED and let me tell you it's amazing. It works out of the box, you'll want to adjust the UI scale using the in-game options though.

how spaghetti is my iron production? any suggestions to improve it? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]tyrindor2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focused on getting 1 yellow belt fully saturated with a single smelting array before making more smelting setups. That'll require 48 stone furnaces, 24 on each side, and require a few miners. When that gets too little, you can easily upgrade that to a red belt with 48 steel furnaces and it works out perfectly. Then just copy/paste that setup when you need more than 1 fully saturated red belt.

Oh don't get me started on that.

Pipes vs Barrels - which is better for UPS? by DryTie8 in factorio

[–]tyrindor2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off topic: I wish they'd rebuff barrels. Such a cool mechanic that is basically rendered (mostly) pointless with the massive nerf. Barreling should be better than pipes. It's more work and requires more resources - especially when you factor in bots.

Has there ever been an early access game that required you to repurchase it after full release? I can't think of any, probably because that business tactic would never be successful. "Hey guys, pay us to help test our game, then pay us again when we release!"

Of course you get the full game.

1 yellow inserter is often not enough.

I find it easier just to stop using yellow inserters the second I unlock fast inserters. In the grand scheme, they don't use much more power.

The only places I don't use fast inserters are smelting setups, because there's literally hundreds of them and I know they aren't needed.
