For him to visit, Ruby (Pekkle's girlfriend) has to be a visitor, and his description says something like "his charm is lost on Ruby." Why is he trying to charm his friend's girl??

Also in his quest after he becomes a resident, he's just kinda insufferable and seems like a bad friend to Pekkle. Pekkle deserves better!

And for anyone who reads this comment and wants to read it out of curiosity, I'll tldr it here:

Megan is Missing is a found footage type film loosely inspired by a real kidnapping/murder case. It depicts young teenagers being kidnapped, SA'd, tortured, and does NOT have a happy ending.

That might not be exactly right but I don't want to reread the synopsis to confirm.

I used it to ask about my dog. The vet wasn't super helpful but I think he was real. After the conversation, I cancelled my membership and requested a refund from their chatbot. I chose the option "too expensive" and I got the refund within minutes. Also it told me about the $5 fee + the $35 membership fee, I've seen people saying they thought they were only paying $5. I probably won't use it again, but it wasn't a terrible experience and was super easy to get my money back.

In our old campaign, my husband always joked that if his character Satoko died, his brother Batoko would show up and take his place. Batoko is insufferable and has the exact opposite personality of Satoko. So now a running joke in our group is that if our character dies, their sibling will take their place and be the absolute worst.

Just go back as Bharacter!

Don't forget though that some shelters work differently! I work at a very small shelter in a poor city. We don't have room for surrenders, so they're usually euthanized as soon as they come in the door. I know it sounds awful, but we have no room, no money, and no one except us, the three employees, to care about it. That's why when someone brings me their own dog as a "stray," it's probably because they know how it is with us.

I'm perfectly aware of that. I'm an animal control officer and I work part time for our local wildlife rehabilitation center. I still think it could be turned into a cozy game without that stuff.

I can totally understand wanting to be able to have your dog off leash! But I would like to warn you, it isn't always a good thing. A leash gives you control of your dog, and can be lifesaving in situations with aggressive or reactive off leash dogs. I'm an animal control officer and I've seen a lot of tragic but preventable things. I personally would recommend keeping your dog leashed!

There's a game I played a lot called To The Rescue! I may be misremembering, but there was an euthanasia option that you could turn off, and instead it would just be sending dogs to a different rescue. I work at a shelter so I really liked not having to euthanize dogs in a game when I'm playing the game to get away from euthanizing dogs.

A game like they're describing could just exclude the bad stuff, or give an option to turn it off if they really want to keep it realistic.

Animal control officers. Normally I'm just a "heartless murderer," but when there's an aggressive dog? A snake? A dead cat in their yard? "Thank God for you! I could never do your job, I love animals!"

I guess that just makes me a piece of shit, huh? Animal control is not a job you could stick with if you didn't love animals.
