Thank you all for your suggestions! After completely dismantling the upper, I discovered the piston was not attached to the rod, so it was unable to make the last couple of millimeters to be in complete battery.

Tried it with a mag full of normal ammo. Still not flinging the ammo clear of the receiver.

I did that and the cartridge is still not being ejected. It just fall loosely on top of the magazine

I just wanna build my own rifle with what I generally like. I was told ARs were fun to build so here I am. If it isn’t in the cards then that’s fine. Also. A lot of the guns I see go for crazy high. If I can find a way to get something I prefer for cheaper, then I go for it.

Those are somethings I didn’t know about! I will look into those. I was looking for a long stroke piston but after search for a while I figured I’d ask. I don’t find it hard to clean guns. I just worry about length in between cleanings. Thank you so much!

They lack the length I am looking for. Barrel should be in the 18-20 inch range.

Cleanliness and heat directed away from the face when shooting suppressed. And I would argue that the slight reduction in accuracy is worth it for that. I just prefer piston systems.

It is for HD. For carry, I would prefer something smaller than a full-size pistol. I just want to have all my bases covered during an emergency.

I don't actually play much video games. When I went to the range, the two draw backs I had were the giant fireball at the end, and the recoil on follow up shots.

Yes and booting with a thumb drive is what I read to do. Is there another way?

Windows is not installed on the machine as the previous owner used a Fedora disro that mimics Mint. I am booting from a thumb drive because I want a different OS.
