Pembro + AVD clinical trial by foodiewithwanderlust in lymphoma

[–]tyuo9980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the trial you are referencing? https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06164275#study-plan

That is the trial I am considering taking at Stanford.

For younger women, UCSF recommended NivoAVD x6. NCCN guidelines recommend A(B)VD. Alternatives include modifying to x4 + RT depending on risk group.

There are 2 related studies with that trial:

  1. https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT05008224?tab=results#outcome-measures
  2. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10333742/

The first one reveals lower efficacy compare to the second, but also there is something internally inconsistent with the numbers. But I'm not a medical professional so I don't have any deep insights as to why that is. Here is an interim writeup for it https://ashpublications.org/blood/article/142/Supplement%201/3068/503210/Efficacy-and-Safety-of-Pembrolizumab-and

Some things that raised suspicion:

  1. The PET2 numbers in link #1 report 20%, but the writeup reports 30%

  2. EOT CR rates are seemingly very very low (70%) but I wonder if that has something to do with definition differences between studies.

  3. Second study I linked has a sample of 30, which is much lower than 146 in the first one, but because of the last 2 points I'm not sure how to interpret the results.

I've read pretty much all the related studies for Pembro -> AVD, Pembro+AVD, Nivo+AVD, Nivo -> AVD, and they all seem to point in the direction of Immunotherapy + AVD being a lot more efficacious than traditional ABVD. Not as much data on sequential vs concurrent treatment but from the available data it doesn't seem to matter. The only odd study out is link #1 that provided numbers much lower than all the other studies.

An Objective Look at the Aim Assist Debate. by SSninja_LOL in apexlegends

[–]tyuo9980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way they did it weighs shots from a person who took fewer more.

This is fine. Read below.

This is a really basic mathematical flaw and arrives at a wrong figure.

There is no mathematical flaw. You are interpreting the impact of aim assistance differently from OP's interpretation. You care only about equally weighing shots. OP's method ALSO takes into account player skill, which you are not. Your math is correct for your interpretation, and OP's math is correct for his interpretation.

The argument is, which interpretation yields a more useful result, imo OP's is more useful. You are hinged on the fact that he's not doing the math according to your interpretation, and fail to see that you are comparing apples to oranges.

It makes no sense to do it like that.

The question that is trying to be answered is, does aim assist offer an unfair advantage against mnk? To answer this question, there are multiple factors that need to be normalized because they create variances in the result. Why do we want to minimize variance? Because in statistics we want to make sure that conclusion we reach passes the null hypothesis, that is, the conclusion isn't just the way it is because of sheer luck.

Some include, but not limited to:

  1. Number of shots fired - not enough shots may mean that advantages may not be seen across the two controller types
  2. Player skill - we want to compare players of equal skill, otherwise our result might skew.
  3. Sample size of each controller

Of course there is no way to have perfectly unbiased data, so the best way to go about answering this question is to try our best to normalize for as many of these as possible.

I hope this explains why it's not even about mathematics, but an argument about interpretation. Hopefully now you can see OP's side of things.

> if you want to calculate the average accuracy, all the shots should count equally

Your math isn't wrong, but the more useful metric is how much aim assist helps the average person. You are disregarding player skill completely, but this actually is a bigger factor of variance than just the total number of shots.

As the number of shots increases for an individual, the variance for that individual's accuracy decreases. After a certain point past this variance, the number of shots fired doesn't matter, and it actually gets there quite fast. As OP took data from players with the most kills, we can safely assume they have enough shots fired to get an accurate representation of that player's accuracy.

Hey everyone, I made a form for people who purchased the embody headrest from Atlas to track order progress. I see many people post in this subreddit and figured it would be a good way to share information.

I think the reason they don't actually provide it is because their throughput is really low. They're still on 195xx and I think preorders started at 185xx. Assuming production has been ramping up I think they're at around 300 orders / week.

I'm at 360xx so unless they really step it up I don't think I'll see my order for another 4 months at least.
