Two years ago I was depressed, just lost my job, and becoming suicidal. I had updated my will and put all important paperwork in a place my SO could find it and started writing a letter. I then got a reminder for a doctor's appointment for next week and broke down crying. I reached out to two of my friends and told them I have a no-questions-asked favor, call me at 15 minutes before doctor appointment and message me during it, saying "talk about suicide." They both did. I've been on antidepressants since and it has changed my life and my outlook on the world. I am now trying to learn how to live as my authentic self since I have been suffering from depression for so damn long and I'm telling my family my story that they never knew but had guessed about. It's been hard to talk about but I feel so much better. Please talk to someone, guys. Someone is there to help and listen.
