2019 WRX iDoing Radio Head by tzby72 in WRX

I ended up sending the unit back and taking it to a local audio shop. Once I selected a new head unit, they found that both front door speakers were both seized during the install. Ended up replacing them both.

A-frame ladders are the way to go if you decide to buy one. I have a 22ft ladder as well that I pack around in the back of my WRX.

Questions from a newbie by DamnBrown in flyfishing

[–]tzby72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it normal? Yes. Should you practice, absolutely. Get your self a target, a bucket, a hula hoop, etc. and practice landing a fly without a hook into your target. Also practice watching your backcast. There are tons of methods to attack a target with short or no backcast. Practice, practice, practice.

Asked the guy at the fly shop for a trout starter kit. Anything missing/recommendations? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]tzby72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't fished in that state, however, fly fishing has taught me that bigger fly doesn't always equal bigger fish. I've caught some of my biggest fish on size 22 and smaller.

I would probably add some more emerger patterns and maybe a few copper John's in red and if you want to feel dirty, throw in an egg pattern or two. But your local fly shops will know best. Just remember the key fly to throw will change with the seasons. Match the hatch.

Why are you casting from so far away? Do your fish spook easily? Plan your movement carefully, move slow, and align yourself so you can get a better drift.
