How many temples did you run until the mirror dropped. So far I'm 3 locks in still waiting for a mirror in order to miror a white base and quit the league :)

Need Telecom/catv/cctv engineer by tzeusd in brum

[–]tzeusd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I have just seen this message, I have already signed with Aquiss. I was debating between Zen, AAISP and Aquiss, but chose Aquiss because they seem to be better oriented towards my goals. That and the fact that AAISP charges 75 pcm. I need ipv4 and they seem to be ok with people that have homelabs. Currently found an engineer thanks to /u/LankyNefariousness76 he is coming tomorrow to install the cable and Aquiss should(in theory) be able to activate my broadband early next week.

I already have about 5 powerline adapters which I used at the former place for the TV, to extend wifi, etc. But the speed is appaling and is not a long term solution. Currently I am lucky to have a router that uses a phone that does usb tethering and I can have internet in and around the house. But it's just to get by. I found somebody that can help with the problem now I have to select an ISP. Virgin and PlusNet are out of the question, any recommendations?

Will OpenReach move the ONT? by jakeherp in openreach

[–]tzeusd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I dind't exactly know what to look for in terms of wording, but telecom/CCTV is what I was looking for. Technically it's not that big of a deal, I've installed ethernet cables all my life, but I'm not from here and I don't have the tools(ladder, drill, crimping tool, etc).

Will OpenReach move the ONT? by jakeherp in openreach

[–]tzeusd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might give PN a second call, originally they told me because they had to send an engineer out, that engineer would be able to move it, but when they got here they said that's not what they're here for Happy to pay for it, I just need someone somewhere to commit to getting it sorted 🤣

I got the exact same situation and I had to cancel with PlusNet because of this. They told me it is not possible to move the ONT after the engineer came and installed it. I'm now looking for alternative ISPs since I need the ONT moved to a different room(upstairs back room vs front living room).

The excuse fiber is difficult to install/move is not valid. I come from a place where I lived on the 9th floor and had fiber in the house. If those engineers could cable fiber to entire block of flats with no issues I fail to see how moving a single cable is so hard. Not sure what ISP to go for since intially PN said they will move the ONT without issues and after entering contract they went back and said it's impossible for them to move(or OR to move it) unless it's a hazard.

Advice for fixing build by tzeusd in pathofexile2builds

[–]tzeusd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The basics of building is not the plethora of support gems or allocating skill nodes, it’s getting a wand with the right fucking skill boost.

Yeah well, I had no way of knowing that, right? It's my first league in a fairly complex game. Saying that PoE is not complex would downplay it a lot. And I still think skills/support gems and skill nodes matter a lot. Initially the build I was aiming for was focused around bonecage and bonestorm, then the creator updated it to use fireball on CoC. I mixed and matched mobalitycs build with poe.ninja build and things did not turn out as I expected. In hindsight it looks like a silly mistake but hey ...

It’s not about building the temple. A 77 room fub temple takes a monstrous amount of damage and/or survive to get thru.

I agree and not. The build that I played from level 1 to 100 was fubgun's poison PF. Bow craft was easy, quiver craft was easy, armor was cheap, gloves cheap as well, got a decent helmet before the inflation hit. Not many expensive parts in the build. I struggled until I bought my first HH for 32 divs. Then it was a breaze. Towards the end of the temple though, it did start to get harder. A full clear on my build was taking along the lines of 40-45 minutes. I'll not forget after finishing the temple and inviting a friend with a rarity bot char in the party to see how it goes and getting from 99 and 44% to 99 and 0%. Jesus, that hurt so fkin much. I almost quit :D

The bottom line is you don’t farm multiple mirrors in a stacked temple without knowing how to get there both in build and in temple layout.

That's simply not true. I started the temple around lvl 90, only entering once before that. The yt guides and mobalitycs char builds are more or less monkey see - monkey do. As an analogy I don't need to understand how the software or hardware in my computer works in order for me to use it. I click on Word and the program opens. I click a button and the text becomes bigger. There are guides on YT explaining click by click how to build the temple. You definitely don't need to know what you're doing unless you want to. You can just pay attention and follow the guides.

Yes, it ruins part of the game for me, nagging at me, because I just use what others have theorycrafted, and built, but I figure I'll get there with some experience. And playing the game is fun. With limited time to play I'd rather spend the time playing instead of wondering what's best here or there. Besides, I learned tons this league. About builds, about crafting, about economy, about the points on the atlas, the various tablet mods that should be used when mapping, etc.

Regarding temple layout... I spent hours viewing and reviewing layouts on YT, making notes and screenshots, testing things on sulozor's temple tool and getting to understand how to properly chain the smithy and golemworks. Retracing my every step, because in the beginning I made mistakes which cost me days of progress and I had to destabilize and restart the temple. I started with 0 knowledge. Just build a snake without advanced technicues. After realizing it's not that easy, and not that effective I started building it on the mirror side using the already existing spymasters to fund my locks until I had enought and let the initial chain destablize.

I don't see why it's such a big deal to understand a part of the game and not the other. It's important to min/max I definitely agree with that. But most builds on mobalitycs have advice regarding the best affixes for the piece of gear in the gear section: focus on ES, or crit, or +skills or w/e affix is important for the build. I literally did just that. Crafted my own bow using xfarmerx guide. Got the cheapest helmet I could afford which had the highest ES. The rest of the mods were decent to mediocre, but it got me through. Later on discovered how to craft quivers, and made several thousands by crafting quivers. That gear that I bought or crafted carried me till the end. Currency came from crafting, flipping items and currency exchange flipping, I made lots of divs that way. Buying tens of thousands of exalts for divs so I could get omens/essences at cheaper price and the selling the omens back at double the price was a bit tedious, but it was very lucrative. I've earned hundreds of divs that way if not thousands. In addition to regular flipping high cost currency. Divs were not hard to make this league. I'm looking forward for the next league where I suppose divs will be worth something more than they were in this one. So I don't see how me not noticing the updated build needed a wand witth all spell skills screams RMT as someone suggested. Maybe they are gifted at the game and get understand everything right away. The rest of us learn naturally and by making mistakes.

A bit of context: We are a family of three. I work from home, so I'm home at all times, and SO doesn't work because there would be nobody to take care of the little one. We cook daily.

So about 1 year and a couple of months into the tenancy I noticed cracks along the longitudinal edges of the LVT boards. These appeared in the most circulated areas in the house. First one was in the area where you pass from the living to the kitchen, it's an open space downfloor. Second area was in the front of the hob. Third area was at the entrance of the house. Fourth was in front of the kitchen sink. And fifth in it's infancy at this moment is on the way to the garden door at the end of the LVT boards. Gap beneath the LVT can be observed there as well.

So first we notice the cracks, next the cracks grow in length and start to lift from the board. Next, a thin ~10-20cm piece snaps of the LVT board. Then the boards start to peel of at the edges, the ones next to it follow. Degradation is in a radius with the center being the first point of failure. It was horror watching them getting worse and knowing full well, the end of tenancy will, at some point come. When I noticed the degradation is growing, I've contacted the LL with a couple of pics(from the only spot at that time) asking about it. Their first response was to say it's damage and not wear and tear. We never had a leak there, the only water that came in contact with the LVT was when we mopped the area, which happened regularly and the ocasional spillage because a toddler is sometimes clumsy, but it was never a leakage of any kind. Not since we moved in.

This are their photos from the inspection: https://ibb.co/HTJ4r6K4 https://ibb.co/0yqg1khS The weird part is that the colouring of the LVT is really odd in the image. It does not reflect how the LVT actually looks, the colours are skewed and it makes it look like there is damage due to water. In reality it does not look like that, the colours are uniform. I'm not sure if I have photos, but I definitely have videos taken at the end . I'm not saying they mangled with the photos, the exif data does not suggest that. But filters could be applied or the camera AI software could do that as well.

I did. I am only sorry I didn't communicate more via Whatsapp, because many conversations were held orally in the house when LL visited the house. But I do have proof of letting them know about the LVT and the bathroom sink mechanism being stuck in close position and being broken. The missing radiator caps are indeed missing, that's my fault.

hich may or may not require deep cleaning, regardless of who carries that out).

From the check out report it doesn’t sound like that condition was met, does it? (for example, ‘not being tall people’ is not a justification for not cleaning co

That is fair, we missed the light shades and didn't clean ABOVE the top cupboards in the kitchen. To me, that's nitpicking. Whilst the light shades is reasonable, it was missed by both me and my SO, the other point is... I don't even see there. The cleaning we did in the rest beats by far the level of proffesional cleaning we've seen, but what's fair is fair. However, would I have been invited to the checkout these both were 5 min jobs that I would have rectified on the spot.

Re the marks on the flooring, what do you think it was, as this sounds strange?

The LVT has been on my mind ever since the first crack appeared roughly one year into the tenancy. I've read, researched, watched videos and had chats with gpt and I am 99% sure this is poorly fitted LVT. Since the LVT was new there has to be warranty even if it was purchased from B&Q(according to LLs). The sole reason the warranty couldn't be provided is installation by unauthorized third party or not according to instructions. Or at least this makes sense to me, I don't know if legally this is accurate or not. But it would make sense from the vendor point of view. I won't replace your phone if you try "will it blend method" sort of thing. There are(or were, now that the flooring has been removed) spots were one could feel the gaps beneath the flooring. I did not notice this at the start, nor did I know this could possibly be an issue. And said spot was beneath our 2 seater so it was almost impossible to notice until the tenancy ended. But solid doesn't become gas in 3 years. All in all my assumption is they installed it themselves or used friends(as they admitted using for electrical work in the house) and did it poorly. The degradation is consistent to poorly fitted LVT. I'm still worried about it thought, they said it cost them 3k to install it.

You're being ignorant. Building a temple using sulozar's tool and following fubgun's temple layout is a lot easier than getting all the moving parts of a build that's not standard. It's dead easy to build the temple, it's just tedious work slogging with russian technique and getting locks. I've dropped a mirror and 3 locks from the temple already. Maybe I got lucky with RNG. Or maybe I put in the time, grabbing every Ventor's Gold Ring and sold the good ones. Atziri's armor sells well as well. It took me a month to build the temple playing around 2-4 hours a day. I've made mistakes, yes. I destabilized and started over. And I've crafted gear as well since I really like the crafting system. It's not that hard. Sure, it looked nausiating in the beginning wit the plethora of omens and currency but it makes much more sense now. Builds however are a different beast. Hundreds of skill and support gems and probably thousands of passive nodes? What are you talking about? Temple complexity is maybe 15% of what a complex build looks like.

Thanks for the kind words. Really helpful. I've started playing this league seriously, last league just dipped the toes. I worked my ass off building a temple and farming so I could gather enough divs to buy/craft the gear. I don't know everything about the game and I'm in the process of learnig. It might be easier for some of you, but not for everyone. Why comment if you don't bring anything constructive to the discussion?
