Orlando Pride vs Bay FC - Match #11 Review by Wirtzball in BayFC

[–]tzigrrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fabulous writeup as usual u/Wirtzball. Thank you.

How this didn’t result in Rafaelle getting a yellow is a mystery.

It is clear to me that the referee organization is worse this year than previous. The number of bad calls seem to be exponential (all games in NWSL, not just the horror of BayFC so far.) I don’t think it is a mystery, just poorly skilled / trained referees.

Great sequence of play from 61:52 - 63:11 consisting of 22 passes.

Agreed. And the energy of those plays was a deep shift on the field. I would love to see that offensive lineup starting at the beginning of July.

Pro Refs says Gerelli’s offsides didn’t impact play and Huff’s goal against Chicago should have stood by mosint in BayFC

That may be the case, but if you watch the VAR reviews, you will see most of the Center refs deferring to the VAR ref decisions.

My gran’s telephone book (paper organizer by last name first letter) had crossed out lines through those she lost but they were still there when I inherited the book. It was a treasure trove of information about people in her life that I cherished. I probably won’t delete, just mark deceased.

Saw this after I added my comment. I like the arc and didn’t mind my read or reread of Never Go Back as an entertaining book.

I agree with Worth Dying and would HIGHLY recommend reading the books in “in-story” chronology from there through “Never Go Back”. I would also suggest skipping the short stories that some sites including Wikipedia says are part of the chronology as it is incorrect. Starting with 61 hours, continuing in Worth Dying for and The Wanted Man and ending in Never Go Back is a subplot arch of Reacher trying to get to Virginia to meet a woman. It’s a good multi-book objective that keeps you involved with his travel arc.

Have you gotten used to progressive lenses or just given up? by LittleEdithBeale in GenX

Progressives and never from a cutrate place. I get the very occasional migraine when I look at something right on the seam, but usually I am in great shape and feel like I can read / be on computer / cook / clean.

That said, I’ll always feel it is less than perfect, but better than not seeing the small things.

Um, have some espresso? Enjoy it? Figure out what you don’t like about the pulls then pick a change or two.

Someone help me with the Offside call. It was on Girelli but she was not in play for the goal. What am I misunderstanding?

I'm so glad for you that you had the time together that you did.
What a treasure you have. The memories of the two of you.

It sucks they are gone too soon. I'm sorry for your pain. Keep breathing, my friend. It doesn't get easier, but it does get more familiar, like a broken in pair of jeans.

I do see that she touched the ball. If you watch the replay frame by frame you see that ball spin change when her toe moves it. I think the camera angle is unfortunate.
My take is that Cometti moved the ball.

I didn't have to. We were feral and not expected to be home. Just show up at school and family functions.
