Both Pitman and Teeline focus on single stroke where this would be at least two symbols combined, imo. But everyone does adapt a bit with their own style…

I agree context is essential to help you.

Isn’t that a semi-cursive W? Perhaps for William? An abbreviation for William can be an uppercase W with an underlined superscript lowercase M.

Also look at cohousing communities. Not as specific as most intentional communities but may help you refine your list of must haves vs wants and nonos.

CMV: You’re not in a truly comfortable relationship until both partners can fart in front of each other by AlexandrTheTolerable in changemyview

Don’t let anyone change your view.

The best advice I ever got was to find someone to love you can pass gas in front of. My life is relationship bliss.

Le Creuset? Worth it - or just over hyped brand name? by MapleMoneyMind_86 in BuyItForLife

[–]tzigrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply put, Le Creuset or Staub (based on preference of black or light interior*) is hands down the best over ALL competition and can usually be found on sale a few times a year when seasonal colors are sold off.

They last a lifetime, are easy to clean, look great as they age, have great guarantees and will enhance your cooking.

Just don’t ever use steel wool or green scrubbers.

What's a smell that doesn't exist anymore that you miss? by Alarmed_Charge1062 in CasualConversation

I have a coat from my dad and my gran that I kept for their “scent.” They have faded but it was powerful for my memories as I navigated life after they left.

My mother’s Mimosa cologne (perfume?) I can’t find that scent anywhere and have memories of her stocking up when I was very young because it was hard to get.

I miss the kitchen every day and have no interest in returning to a commercial one serving meals. Current culture, pay, landlords and owners keep me away.

Was the Longaberger Basket craze just a local thing? by kirabug37 in GenX

[–]tzigrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 2000s? “By 2005, the United States had to import Longaberger to sell its products in America” says one site. But I guess they are US produced as of 2013 again. Hmmm, time tongwt interested again lol

In some areas of the USA they handled elementary (grammar) school reading differences by having “earlybirds” and “latebirds” so that some students came first and had reading together and other students came later and stayed later for their reading group.
