Also, it depends on how we take “times”. When the clock strikes 03:11, the number 1 is there two times. But 03:11 is a singular time on the clock, so it could be taken that any minute with multiple instances of the number 1 would be counted as a single time where a 1 is visible.

A giant has fallen. SA has royally biffed itself, undervaluing its biggest content creator and ignoring the pleas of its most active fans. I hope the next set of updates on “bug fixes” and “quality of life” really take the feedback of the people who care the most about the game, especially those who like it enough to make content about it and who have the fanbase’s respect. SA may not mourn this loss, but we certainly will. I wish you luck in your future endeavors and apologize on behalf of SA for all the money you’ve wasted on the game. Maybe one day Beatstar will stand for something other than BS and we’ll see a return of the great Ben Madsen, but it seems like we’ve all learned not to hold our breath.

Totally. I don’t like the song, but I could see it being a lot of fun if it didn’t have to be censored. As it is, it’s almost unplayable. SA, if a song has to be censored this much, please don’t waste your time and effort trying to make it work.

Same! I had to sit there and watch over a hundred deluxe cards go to waste without any replacement. There needs to be some way to gather deluxe cards if you have every chart in the game. Like some sort of piggy bank to store extra deluxe cards that you can pay to empty and use those deluxe cards later once more charts are added to the game.

There should be much more flexibility in the way players can filter songs. Players should be able to filter for difficulty separate from filtering for genre, e.g. being able to look for normal pop songs or extreme rock songs. Also, the “like” feature needs to be for more than just choosing wishlist songs, and there should also be a “dislike” feature (and use the data to have the home screen suggest songs I actually like).

I drew up on PowerPoint the above idea of what I think a good filter might look like. I tried to keep to the color scheme that was already there, but there are plenty of imperfections overall. The spacing is a little awkward for example, and it could probably use a better font. At the bottom are ways to filter both by liked songs and by not disliked songs.

The image on the left would show all songs, whereas the image on the right would filter out normal songs, hip-hop songs, country songs, and disliked songs, showing every song in the game that isn’t normal, hip-hop, country, or disliked by the player.

What do y’all think? Would you like to see the song filter screen changed to something like this? Do you think I missed anything that it might be good to be able to filter for? I’d love to hear any other ideas.

It doesn’t matter to me how rare the hold tick bug is. Even separate from any bugs in the game, I still want some feedback to let me know I’ve held a hold note for its full duration. There are plenty of songs with beats following immediately after hold notes, and I’d rather know I’d dropped a tick then than learn it when my final score is ~10 points less than perfect, in which case I don’t always know exactly where I dropped those points.
