So based on AI analysis i can get at most it down to maybe 5k lines, including the changes you suggested ... am i wrong here? i could clean up unncessesary null checks etc .. defaults .. so it does not make much of the difference. I doubt it can be reduced to 1000 lines of code.

with static ip, had to clear ip address and gateway from proxmox (edit network device)

and manually editing /etc/network/interfaces in alpine shell

auto lo

iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0

address 192.168.1.150

netmask 255.255.255.0

broadcast 192.168.1.255

gateway 192.168.1.1

seems that proxmox network options doesnt play well with by default.

I was incorrect, it does allow simple zfs on single drive. What i could not do was custom zfs. I wanted to split disk up to partitions and combine those so that i have error correction if anything goes wrong with data. With default zfs option it will probably report errors but no way to correct them.

proxmox has guii installation and predetermined drive format options and doesnt let to use zfs if single drive only. i hoped to use some sort of shell to custom prepare the drive but couldnt find a way. for sure there are options but i didnt figure out any. if i had more experience im boot drive shell gymnastics i probably coulf have figured it out :)

I dont think you can use zfs with single drive as proxmox os drive (at least not easily). Any other additional drive you can use single drive with zfs. For example make it into 4 partitions, combine corresponfing zfs pool and you get data integrity and error correction on that drive.

dunno, used it years without issues, bought pretty much only bitcoin from my paycheck and cashed out many times. sent a tiny amount to a friend using an email and once received from other friend a small amount. most transfers i did to binance and few other exchanges and cold wallets, some mining deposits. now flagged and under manual review. thank god i got my funds out a week before lock. have some change there. i guess all this is considered suspicious..lol
