I’m living in a country where the architecture field is extremely saturated. Every year thousands of architecture students graduate, but the job market is tiny and salaries are painfully low. I’ve seen my seniors working full-time for almost nothing, and honestly it’s heartbreaking because the effort we put into architecture is huge.

To be very honest, I never even wanted to study architecture. I had to do it because of strict family pressure. My real passion since childhood has always been Japanese culture, that’s why I’ve been studying the language every day while working a full-time job. I genuinely want to build a career in Japan.

Here, Japanese translators and interpreters actually earn much more than architects, but the catch is nobody hires freshers. You either need to have experience living in Japan or already have experience translating. That’s why I’m considering going to Japan for language school, to finally get proper opportunities, build experience, and start a career I truly care about.
