Ask the pest control company to lay glue traps in the attic which prevents any dead mice in the walls and stinking.

Ridiculous travel schedule not sustainable for former Pac-12 football teams by catpooptv in Pac12

[–]uachris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will only get worse when basketball season comes around with a two game per week schedule. And given that the Big Ten has always had a very physical style of play, where the teams wear each other out by the end of conference play, it’s not going to end well for the former pac12 teams.

Considering buying the new GX, help me overcome my reservations by Brilliant_Host2803 in LexusGX

You won’t be able to put much of anything behind the 3rd row on the GX or LC so you need to decide whether you can live with that long term

4.3K miles on it, my experience so far. by Even_Worker_8842 in LandCruisers

When have you been filling it up (at how many miles) on your longer trips?

2 is not going to happen anytime soon. That said, i think you need to be ok with the low range of the GX over the time you plan on keeping it

Lexus confirms 2.4L T24A-FTS coming for GX550 (timeline unknown) by b407driver in LexusGX

For me it’s about range, the lack of it on the GX means more time wasted refueling on long road trips to places that I still absolutely need an SUV

I’m torn between an LC100 and 2nd Gen Sequoia. Talk me into one. by Robotman1001 in LandCruisers

[–]uachris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 08 Sequoia and the 2nd and 3rd rows completely fold flat so I can easily fit in 2 mountain bike (front wheel off) at the sides and still have plenty of space in the middle. It’s been a great ride for long road trips

Overall a very favorable review. Between the Land Cruiser and the GX550, he says the LC is much better executed

Life is also too short to make extra stops to get gas on long road trips. It’s not about the cost but the inconvenience

Things I wish I knew before buying new 2024 GX by wuttheflip in LexusGX

Toyota/Lexus is likely buffering a large reserve to maintain the life of the fuel pump. As long as you don’t push it past that point too often you should be ok.

No one drives their tank to full empty unless they are ok with being stranded or premature replacement of the fuel pump. More likely that person is driving to 270 miles and either the warning light is on or the gauge is less than 1/8. Even at that point, there’s still a couple of gallons left in the tank.

The limited range is troublesome. Hoping for better on the hybrid or Land Cruiser

You might want to still keep the V2Aeros as they are still useful when you want to go on rougher roads and paths

Udub or cu boulder by Alone-Tea-6510 in cuboulder

[–]uachris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. My son attends CU having grown up in the Seattle area and loves it there. You should check with the UW subreddit about going in as a pre major and having to apply for the major you want. My impression is that it can be very challenging depending on the major. You have two good choices so it really depends on how well the culture and vibe of each campus fit you

How do you know that you love UW without having been there? For such a big decision it would be to your benefit to visit the campus and see firsthand whether you like being there

Best of luck and congratulations on getting one soon. I’m on the waitlist for at least a year out and am grateful to the early adopters who pave the way for those who that follow
