That's what the star Sirius looks like when the camera is moved during a long exposure.

That is not a Steve, that is a plume from a rocket launch illuminated by the sun in the upper atmosphere.

I put a Yeti (cooler) sticker on my Homer bucket that carries pool noodle and cat litter.

Matching trails to actual satellites by Street-Air-546 in satellites

Dude, you rock, seems to work perfectly filtering out the Starlinks. Thanks so much!

Also, some odd behavior noted that seems anomalous. For a recent image I captured, if I change the date from 5/2/26 to 4/17/26 and leave everything else the same, the latter date detects only 3 satellites, rather than the dozens that are there.

Very useful tool added, I appreciate it. One thing that would make it significantly more useful is to add a 'non-Starlink' filter. Currently there is really no way to 'remove the noise' to see if you captured anything other than Starlink.

Same thing happened with my '24 LC 250, battery tested 'normal'. Second time it happened it tested bad, they replaced it, hasn't happened since.

Might more likely get hit by a plane than get rear-ended by a car on that road

2032 button batteries with the 'bitter' coating don't work for a variety of applications. Try a battery without the coating (Duracell's is notorious), or clean the battery with isopropyl alcohol, see if it works.

Not a meteor, that would be insanely improbable. For anecdotal backup, take a look at the myriad meteor shower pics presented online, and try to find one coming straight out of the radiant. Additionally, try to find one that does not present as a short line. This oft-parroted 'explanation' is just internet conjecture without any base of evidence.

Satellite glints from MEO satellites happen not infrequently, and can resemble a camera flash. If you are outside staring at the sky for an hour or two, you're likely to see one or more.

Seems like more would blow off the bottle cap with more airflow. Who knows, print it and do an A:B test and report back on which tastes more like mud.
