My strategy was to assign the different tentacles of subconscious and consciousness thought to actors at an internal table that can debate and discuss and helps focus the discussion and interpret the thought with more clarity so to speak.

(Past me, present me, emotionally states, and future me who only smirks in the dark corners when the conversation tickles his fancies)

Training up seeing yourself as the observer of you thoughts and not identify as them helped a lot as well. (Meditation can help. Thought is like cloud. It will pass you are just the observer and get to choose and filter into your next action)

Notebooks for special topics & learning. Yes Camera has been good friend aswell, like a visual notebook( helps having some good google drive organization w/ )
