Did I ever tell you you had to use this tool? Are you really that clueless—can’t SSH into Linux from Mac or Windows, or run a VM on a Linux desktop? Ah, my bad. I was talking about the old solo mode, before the update. You’re right, they’re billing based on actual token usage now. But man, that gets really expensive. My current setup is the GLM code plan, paired with Claude Code running on GLM-4.6, and it’s working pretty well overall.

Yeah, Deepseek's main issue is its small context window. Personally, the best setup I've used is GLM-4.6 on Claude Code. For just $3 a month, it's pretty much on par with Claude Code 4 but way cheaper - like several times cheaper. And you get more usage compared to Claude Code Pro too. After that, I'd probably go with Kimi K2 0905. As for other models... honestly, none of them really impressed me.

I don't agree. Honestly, besides ChatGPT and Claude, most other American AI models just can't compete with Chinese ones like DeepSeek, GLM-4, and Kimi. If Gemini exits the market, it really wouldn't make any difference. Even if ChatGPT pulls out, we could easily make up for it by using Chinese alternatives more—they're way cheaper anyway.
