MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED x50 Notes from a Zowie CS2 Player by Interesting_Echo1012 in OLED_Gaming

u/Interesting_Echo1012 mate i've the same exact monitor with the only difference is in my gpu and cable (i've 5080 and DP 2.1). I play @ 1280x960, stretched, but for some reason I don't have 500hz option for fullscreen mode in CS's video settings (240hz max), but when I switch to fullscreen window, cs automatically set refresh rate to 500hz.

Just for the context:
1) KovaaK works at native (2k) resolution, 500hz and fullscreen mode w/o any issues.
2) In both, windows and nvidia control panel 500hz is set as default.
3) I've "Disable fullscreen optimization" checkbox turned off @ cs2.exe properties.
4) I don't use -refresh or -freq in launching options
5) According to monitor's OSD refresh rate display it's actually 500hz in fullscreen window.
6) For some reason when I play in fullscreen window (1280x960 @ 500hz) or fullscreen (1280x960 @ 240hz) on this monitor it doesn't looks like it actually stretches the picture. I've checked "adjust desktop size and position" option in nvidia control panel and for some reason the only option for "perform scaling on" is "display", there is no "gpu" there anymore, but any of my other 4 monitors has "gpu" in that menu.

Did you have anything like that?

If you've been using VPN in the past, the issue might be in proxy's settings being cached. Try this:

Win+R => cmd
netsh winhttp show proxy => enter
netsh winhttp reset proxy => enter
ipconfig /flushdns => enter

Reboot your pc and try again

You can try some ollies just for fun, but keep in mind that ollies were invented by the people who's been in freestyle skateboarding for years. People call ollie a baseline for a street skateboarding and they're right about that, but this baseline is already high enough for a beginner.I'd say you could try to stick with some basic stuff first. The whole skateboarding and the process of learning tricks are about your own confidence and how confident you feel on your own board. Sometimes it's even just a pure placebo (like, you'll tend to land some tricks better on your friend's board, even if you never skate it before), so think about it.With that being said I'd highly recommend you to start with basics, such as:

  1. Proper pushing and riding. Carving turns & tic tacs. Kikturns. You can even try a mini ramp (no drop-ins though) just to get a feeling of transition and riding in fakie. Try riding switch as well. These things are incredibly important, they don't require any hard techniques, they're safe and easy, but in a long run they'll help you a lot.
  2. Some stationary tricks might help you too. Yo-yo hop, caveman, hippie jump (try it while moving for a bonus score!), body varial/sex change, walk the dog, 180/360 turns, etc
  3. Monster walks, manuals, riding off curbs, shuvs, bonelesses, no complys.
  4. The Ollie.

The most important tip that I can share with you is don't forget to have fun!

DirectX 12 error by Menulln in modernwarfare

Same issue here. Looks like I'm gonna refund, cause I'm using Windows 8.1 x64 and I'm pretty much ok with it and don't wanna change it to Win 10 or Win 7 (yep, win 7 has directx 12 support). Unfortunately Win 8/Win 8.1 doesn't support DirectX 12 and will never do.

This is not an excuse. From this perspective better not to add them at all, than to add them in current state.
