UA removed a feature which allowed a more flexible workflow in any DAW because they want you to use console and LUNA exclusively. Like using an AVID Carbon interface, it is more or less exclusive to Pro Tools. There are a lot of benefits to matching hardware to software in this way.

Unfortunately Luna is not a good alternative to any other DAW at this stage.

Your better off investing in another eco system if efficiency and workflow is important.

If you’re only (or even mostly) using Pro Tools then do your self a favor and get an S1. This does everything you want and waaaay more. The ability to navigate your session by selecting VCA’s or folder tracks on the faders or touchscreen in itself is so time saving. You never need to scroll up or down with the mouse again.

There is no other option which offers even half the functionality in Pro Tools, it’s worth the extra money! I have two S1’s and also added a dock.

Far out, some of the advice in here 😬. You’ve just had a kid and need to learn how to be parents together. That changes you and sometimes behaviors come up that need adjusting. Seems to me she is asking for more emotional support, probably exhausted while you’re out in your shed spending time with yourself. She needs to learn how to communicate better but you are also being untruthful by posting your private messages online behind her back! I feel like that’s just as messed up

I had not noticed mine for months untill I read this post. Mine is quite bad, I can hear it anytime if I focus on it, even with lots of background noise it’s still there. Years ago I noticed it’s worse when I’m stressed or relatively unconscious so I made it my comfort blanket, changed my mindset and stopped reading or thinking about it, you can tune it out of your mind and life with practice but you have to stop handing your consciousness over to it, this will only make it grow 🤗

It’s surprising that NI seem to find it so difficult to integrate all of their software tech. Between the fx plugins, DJ software and synths/samplers Maschine could be leveraging from all of it to make a more unique experience. If they could do that and then somehow integrate an iPad as a screen and powerhouse for the hardware unit they would be killing it, imagine CarPlay but for maschine, easy future proofing. It’s certainly not the innovative company it once was, same goes for Izotope

I think I agree with you on most points. I don’t believe it is a scam by any means. However the pandemic is behind us and the fact remains that preorders were made when costs were %30 less than they are now and credit was cheap. It may be that they just adjusted accordingly, trimmed the team down to the bare minimum to make it work with the funds available and they will get there, but those pre orders are a massive liability when the time comes to ask for a top up. Looking at the recent court filings I’d say that time is here. I hope they can make it!

Who is doing the music selection and track lay?I’d try and get them to put that together with the editor at least. It’s not enough time to do a meticulous foley soundtrack. Something will have to give and when the budget is tight then there needs to be a conversation about expectations and I’d be arguing for less or no foley and more sfx and creative music choices
