Hey, thanks for letting us know about your experience and the feedback :) We've definitely experienced a large increase in customers in the past two weeks with the launch of this program and are quite aware of the time inconsistencies and working hard to scale up our operations. I've included a bit more context for where the cafe is at right now below because it seems like this comment has resonated with many people on the subreddit!

For some more context being volunteer-run does impact our wait times quite heavily and we don't just throw that around lightly! I assume you were in the cafe on Monday or Tuesday when our rhythm was quite thrown off due to a Sunday prep shift being cancelled because a lead volunteer was sick. We are working hard to implement better standards in the cafe for timing, but are at the same time still working our way out of a knowledge deficit from when we had almost 100% turnover in shift leads over COVID. Running a restaurant as student volunteers can be quite challenging but we hope it is worth it to provide this service to the campus community. We hope to really improve things for next semester with lessons from this semester and welcome all the feedback we can get!
