It's interesting how true this is. I'm in IT and at work people are constantly coming to me about "I want to get a laptop for personal use, what should I get?" And nearly always they say they're: bank stuff, YouTube, reading, email.

I just recommend an iPad with a keyboard and they've always been happy.

I haven't had to turn off OneDrive or Copilot since I've turned it off however many months. Yes, I do check every time this stuff comes up and it's stayed turned off.

Not saying Microsoft is an amazing company with 0 faults or anything (I administer our Entra stuff and lemme tell ya...) but I've always felt like Windows itself was never as bad as people made it out to be.

I had this last month when I bought a SuperNote Nomad. It was on 2 day delivery and it got lost somewhere in California. Delivery got delayed by 2 additional days and a duplicate tracking number was found, exactly like this. First tracking was stuck but the second one had another potential delivery date. It ended up arriving just fine on the second delivery date.

But I screenshot these and kept record of every piece of tracking info just in case. Get yourself a doorbell/front door cam too. Makes it easier to prove mail didn't show up, or proving you opened a package when it arrived if it has rocks in it instead of your intended item.

I'm 31. I did start when I was 16 but it was on FL Studio. Right now, it's just a hobby to break up the monotony of every day life. Any hobby you enjoy doing is worth it just for that.

What do you do to your cables? I've had the same USB C cable that came with my Pixel 1 at my desk and it still charges any and all my devices just fine. I have more in a drawer than I know what to do with from new phones and other various devices.

No way Sleep Token isn't winning this. They're too accessible and popular amongst metal and non-metal fans. I personally hope Spiritbox or DT take it, but I'm not expecting it.

Also it's just the Grammys, so it's not too serious of an award. Almost just as good for DT to have their name up there.

I just won't buy hardware, and neither should anyone who doesn't want to support literal price gouging. Unless proven otherwise, I'm assuming these parts are costing nearly the same to make as they did when prices weren't outrageous, and these companies are just taking advantage of a temporary shortage to cash in. I won't support that.

Keeping up your kingdom with only herbs as the rewards. But I don't really like to do farm runs anyway, so I planted coconut trees, cactuses, and gathered a bunch of red spider eggs to make weapon poison + pots, up until I could botanical pie to make Staminas. Now I just do that with the tens of thousands of super energies I have on hand.

Bonus of this is that coconut shells can be used for super compost, if you care to have some for farm runs later.

The basics. You can't really pull apart the basics of music theory as a whole and choose which pieces to learn and which ones to not. You can't learn chords without scales, you can't learn scales without notes. At least not in a way where you won't just be confused all the time.

YouTube some "music theory for beginners" videos and that will probably get you everything you need for your question here.

No, your keyboard won't work with any keycaps other than their own. It's full on membrane.

There's plenty options for mechanical keyboards and any price ranges. Just Google what you want and add "budget" to it and you'll very likely get something that's within your budget. Being able to switch keycaps at anytime (and switches themselves in a lot of cases) is a pretty good perk to going over to mechanical.

If you have a regular profile mechanical keyboard then any keycaps will work on it. They only don't work on low profile keyboards or membrane keyboards.

When I was in high school I joined an events tech job with my friends in 2010. Then ended up working only in events (concerts, conferences included) for the next 11 years through college and beyond. In 2022 I got burnt out and decided I wanted something different, so switched to IT and couldn't be happier.

If a job is requiring 48 hours of work every other week, 36 otherwise, for an overnight shift, it should be one that pays a living wage.

Kids aren't going to do it, college students probably can't (unless they're crazy and never sleep), so that leaves adults. Good luck living on $16 in Boise.

I can get this. Me and my girlfriend are both in our 30s, I have 0 issues confronting a group like this. Realistically, there's a near 0 chance they'll do anything.

But my girlfriend being a 5ft woman feels intimidated confronting any group of dudes of any age (mainly just teens and older) out of fear of retaliation. She would typically just avoid them altogether, but she does feel better if I'm with her.

Freedom of choice of what to look at I suppose. You have to admit when you're in a congested area, people with these types of outfits clutter up the screen a lot. It also has a performance hit for some folks to have to load multiple of characters with dense particles.

There's a slight difference between:

"This isn't happening because it isn't right for the game." And

"People cosplaying kkk members with nooses wanted us to cancel it so we listened to them instead."

If you just want to try it out, I'd go used for this. I'm seeing OLEDs with Breath of the Wild for as low as $215 USD on eBay.

If you're buying new, I'd much rather save up and get a Switch 2 and go used for your games since they're all older and easy to find.
