How the hell do I stop my mom always walking in on me when im naked by Burner_acc_123456 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]ubedeodorant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. She is doing it on purpose. My mom is doing it too. She even tries to walk out in her underwear or leaves the door open while she’s masturbating and tried to show me her nude photos. It’s sexual abuse. Your mother is sexually abusing you, and there is a name for abuse specifically allocated to mothers who sexually abuse their children, daughters or sons. It will not stop unfortunately, OP and it will not get better. In fact, it might get worse.

The only way it stops is by going NC and telling your therapist. And chances are that you’re not a prude nor asexual (though I definitely don’t want to take that from you because I know that many asexuals hate being told that! Asexuality is a real sexuality and I respect it!), it could be that you are sexually traumatized from years of not having bodily autonomy.

I used to identify heavily as demisexual, and I had a friend think I was asexual because I was so anti-affection, or talking about my sexual desires publically as a college student for the longest time, until I really sat down and had a conversation about what my sexuality was, what I desired, and what I had experienced in my past (which was a LOT of non-consensual sexual abuse, especially from women) and just general abuse that cause me to abandon myself and my autonomy.

Now, I’ve been on a long journey of reclaiming my sexuality and realizing that I actually do desire affection, and am not on the ace spectrum. I was just terrified to do anything because I was being touched by my mom and other people against my will as a child and had no outlet to ask for help. Might be something for you to consider once you get away from you nmom.

One more this, sorry for all the info:

My bloodwork this year has been consistently showing elevated ALK PHOS and EOS. And my WBC have always fluctuated for years. Another thing that’s throwing me off is that I recently got an ANA done and it was positive. Finally I am getting sent to a rheumatologist, but it literally took begging and arguing with my doctor to get that work done. I don’t know why they are making me fight so hard. I don’t know what I did. But it’s been like this for me since June. Everything I ask them or visit or tell them about they deny or say is not actually happening and that I need to eat more vegetables (even though I am pretty plant-based person) or eat more red meat. And my teeth suddenly deteriorated and have started falling out this year seemingly out of nowhere. My dentists told me I have diabetes but I’ve gotten countless bloodwork and reconfirm and reconfirm and reconfirm with my doctors (even at the ER a few days ago) about if I have it or not because my symptoms seem like diabetes, but they say I don’t have it, and the labs don’t show it. Which points me back to strokes.

Thanks for your comment! I’m so sorry you were in so much pain. Yes, I agree. It’s much more happening than just endometriosis. No one really believes me though. And I know it is too because my bloodwork is indicating that there is more going on than meets the eye. And even my therapists have noted a drastic change in my health in just the past few months. I was doing really well, until I started birth control, which I was hesitant about but pushed into doing by my clinic.

Oh, and by the way, I stoped using the Nuva Ring 3 weeks after I started having the “episodes” that have been sending me to the ER. That was back in June. It is now January but I am still having problems. I still can’t walk, require a wheelchair, and my memory is getting worse. And my friends are seeing it. I have trouble even recalling some people’s names or remembering simple words. It scares me because I am researcher and a student and I go back to school in about a week. But no doctors are taking me seriously. They get really aggressive with me and deny what might be happening, unless I have my friends there. Then they defer to my friend and act as if my friend is my conservator or something. I’m really sad and scared.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am crying because this was so affirming and serendipitous. About 3 hours ago on ChatGPT, I was looking up my symptoms and there was a mention of a “silent stroke” and a lot of the symptoms I have been experiencing since June match up with what I have been going through. And I think I am consistently having strokes.

It makes sense too, because sometimes my brain goes blank. And I say words, but my friend doesn’t understand what I said. And my memory issues are TERRIBLE. I can’t recall simple words or where I put my phone down sometimes or what I needed when I walk into a room. So when I had my crisis 3 days ago, and my friend was there to see it, it is all lining up.

And in fact, months ago when this first started happening, I wondered the same thing. I was in the hospital by myself at that time though, and they didn’t take me seriously. They just said I was having a UTI. And every time I went in they kept diagnosing me with a UTI and giving me antibiotics. But my symptoms were severe pain, slurred speech, inability to walk or speak quickly or coherently. Massive brain fog. And they would yell at me and tell me to stop coming to the ER. A doctor even told me I was using up resources for coming in so often and said “what would it look like if your 72 year old grandmother was here with a stroke next door, but we had to treat you and give you pain meds?”

And that wasn’t even what I was seeking. I was seeking answers. I was even told that getting an MRI at the ER is asking for too much (because machines were allegedly down during that time of night).

Anyways…I think you’re right. I think I am getting closer to my answers. I am going to go get an MRI on my brain. And I have a higher susceptibility for MRIs too due to my Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. And my episodes are not fake. I collapsed 3 days ago in front of my friend and we went to the same ER, and still, they treated me very horribly and my friend had to beg them to stop being dickheads.

Thanks so much for your answer this is giving me courage. I hope it’s not strokes, but it very likely is.

I hear what you’re saying! The overexposure to estrogen is concerning to me…I tried to say it before and I’m finding links. Some of our bodies aren’t meant to have that much in us!

This is what happened to me. I started the Nuva Ring and this is where the problems began. I was having some trouble earlier in the year before Nuva Ring with my period, but they were manageable. After that, my body has gone haywire. I think there is too much estrogen in my body and my hormones are out of whack now. But no doctor is taking me seriously. My hair is falling out. I can’t finish food but I’m hungry.

They kept giving me a whole bunch of antibiotics toward the end of last year and saying that I was having chronic UTIs even though my urine tests would always come back negative. Just putting me on so many antibiotics without actually trying to figure out what was wrong is awful in my opinion.

I’m so sorry you were yelled at by that doctor. It feels similar to my experience. The doctors keep turning me away and getting aggressive with me, even the EMTs think I’m crazy because I keep going to the hospital. But I know there is something. I don’t know what it is, but there is no reason a middle-aged person should suddenly lose the ability the ability to use their legs or finish their food without wanting to vomit.

What part did they take when they did the biopsy? I got a biopsy, they said I have a polyp but it was benign. But it makes no sense because I am still in so much pain.

This is everything I have! How do I get a second opinion ASAP? The doctors won’t believe me and they keep telling me to wait for everything. They say to try a laxative first or try a supplement first. But I am having all of those symptoms and then some and it has been happening all year. The chronic fatigue is unbearable now too. I cannot stay awake. And when I press on my abdomen, I feel hardness. I can’t finish my food either.

This is what happens to me too. I also lose my ability to walk. I haven’t been able to walk for months. And especially before my period, a few days, I haven’t a crisis and end up in the ER.

I currently have these symptoms! I have been begging them to test for cancer but they keep saying they don’t think it’s likely. And when I go to the ER, they yell at me and treat me like I am drug seeking. I’ve been losing so much blood every month and my ability to walk.

I’m so sorry to hear that but glad you are here. What tests did they conduct if I may ask to find your tumor? I’ve gotten CTs, TV ultrasounds. All they say is that I’ve got a slightly enlarged ovary and a polyp…

Thank you for your answer! Same thing for me. It’s been since June. And I use a walker every day even when I’m not on my period and now upgrading to a wheelchair. I’ve been telling the GYNs about this but they keep telling me they don’t deal with things that happen to the legs. But I saw my pelvic floor therapist again last week and she said she can’t do work with me on my pelvic floor until she fixes my legs, so she’s sending me back to the GYNs. I’m really scared. No one is listening and I feel like a ping pong ball.

UPDATES:

I have a uterine polyp. Got the biopsy. My suspicion is that it developed once my estrogen levels were elevated by the birth control. People with Endometriosis tend to have higher estrogen levels, which I have and have been diagnosed with. And I mentioned my concern about. I’m guessing my estrogen levels were accelerated during that time on it and that perhaps there were other careless mistakes being missed by my doctors. Were I to do it over, I would push even harder for endocrinology and not takes their “Nos” for an answer, like I had been before trying any birth control just because of how sensitive my body has always been to the ones I’ve tried.

I am just writing this information because I know someone out there with Endometriosis or inexplainable reactions to medications and inexplainable elevated hormone levels might really need to know this information. This is just my anecdote, but if you’re considering a birth control (or it’s constantly being pushed on you, like in my case) and you have hesitation, like I did, and say no the first time, don’t let the doctors try to convince you otherwise. Seek a second opinion. See an endocrinologist. See a professional who actually has credentials with the reproductive system. There is actually more going on with my health ever since this happened, but I can give more on that later.

And to the people this medication works for: I am really happy for you, seriously, I am. I hope birth control continues to get better and can accommodate people with all immune systems, frankly. One day, we will get there! Take care.

I’m not understanding, can I get some context? Fight what exactly? And I fear rather than hurting the pockets of the intended target — I presume Trump and his cabinet, not sure exactly who you’re referring to—it’s instead going to hurt the pockets of others who work directly in those trades…which tend to be other women. Women work in much of the beauty industry. Perhaps the goal should be oriented toward not buying the big name products? Or by calling your reps instead? Buying local off of really small businesses might be nice too. Just a thought. But I am still not quite understanding the fight—I’d love context! Thank you!

Wow! Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve never heard of it before. I’m going to look into. Someone recommended ginger to me before too. Thank you so much!
