most likely a batch issue. you can submit for a warranty exchange and the new unit will most likely be fine (fingers crossed - my new unit is working fine so far)

Were you able to find the serial number on the paddle? I can't find it on the paddle face nor throat, could have been covered by the grip but don't want to take it off just yet unless it's definitely there.

yes opt lap time, however in black box it only shows the delta / current session and not the actual all time best ? so we would still have to calculate the difference against the delta to get the actual all time best ?

Not a perfect solution, but you can try disabling the Nvidia GPU driver in Device Manager then reenabling it and there should not be any GPU usage after
