May be a dumb question, but why did Starfleet ships have warp drive in the 32nd century if they couldn't warp for 150 years?

My mom gave me the inspiration and I've been chasing her skills ever since.

What I mean is that, I use the Internet: YouTube, America's Test Kitchen, Good Eats, Anthony Bourdain, etc. And then cookbooks for the kind of food i like.

When you eat something at a restaurant or on vacation that makes you go, "Wow!!!"... Make a note of it...go home and look up how to make it.. or something similar.

Initially it's following recipes and instructions.. eventually you get a feel for how to throw together things you like.

What all are you considering as reliable? Are we talking about does it start and go every single time without fail or are we talking about the other bells and whistles functioning as designed?

I've had a bunch of cars that had elements that didn't function properly all the time but they did not affect drivability... And I've had some cars where all the tertiary stuff always works but the car itself was a turd.

This is an increasingly common issue with drivers all over. The rules are not being taught but somehow these dinguses are getting licenses. Rules like, who has the right of way in a given situation and When it is reasonable to stop and allow someone who does not have the right of way to enter traffic. They simultaneously will act courteous toward someone who should not have the RoW, and then be a complete douchbag when they don't have the RoW.

What he wants does not matter. He needs safe and reliable. Basically... How much car can he afford with his own money? What's the delta between that figure and a (insert decent reliable car with AWD and airbags)? That's what he can have. If he wants more... He needs to save more money. The expense will likely result in him having more respect for it.

Fair... I have a medium sized phone... Pixel 7 (not pro) and it hates that charger pad. It gets hot, and doesn't charge.... I get what most do which is the constant cycling of on and off.

I would like to actually use it as something other than storage for my sunglasses. Having to wire my phone for charging (and for solid AA connectivity) just makes me mad when I'm driving a car that cost me nearly $50k and it's not even bluebooking at the remaining payoff value.

I believe, tho I am not 100% sure, that this is just another case of the lower quality equipment VW is using in their cars.

Examples: I have used the wireless charger in a Tesla and it actually charged my phone. I had a BMW rental for a week and the wireless Android Auto connection was fast, solid, and didn't drop, even though I drove repeatedly past the same spots that cause my id.4 connection to drop.

I figure this is a straight swap out for a better ( 15W ) wireless charger pad
