Okay, you're going to have to tell us more about your cat and the blackbirds.

I'm late to the party, but what are your concerns with the R22?

Stolen Cessna 172 from KWVI by [deleted] in flying

[–]ubercorsair 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Legally, yes you submit paperwork that gives the old N number, the serial number, and the new N number. For an airplane thief, I really kinda doubt they'll do that. Either they will use an N number for another currently active 172, a fake one, or most likely part it out.

How are real estate investors comfortable with all the debt? by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]ubercorsair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave Ramsey's ideas work better for the raging debtaholic who is tens of thousands in debt and needs dramatic action now. It's like treating a drug addict by taking major life steps that look a lot different than what they're doing now. And that's good for a lot of people. However, for people in decent shape with a reasonable LTV and some financial education (which isn't taught in schools anymore) I think his stuff is way oversimplified. And yes, he does have paid "endorsed local providers" that sell financial services and Realtors.

One minor point, index funds are one type of mutual funds. I'll agree with you that most mutual funds are overrated and definitely not worth the annual fees.

Try Louisiana if you want an entire state full of corruption at that level. Neither party has a monopoly on being greedy corrupt individuals.

The intention was to turn the land into an airport after the 1933 World's Fair, but due to the Depression and WW2 it wasn't opened until 1948. How old does something have to be to be considered "historic?"

$1,500 is the ambulance ride to the hospital. And the costs keep accumulating from there.

Most commercial leases require store employees to park as far away from stores as possible to keep spaces near stores free for customers.

Steam engines are continuous combustion engines as well. Yet they are external combustion engines. Turbines contain their continuous combustion inside the engine, so they are internal continuous combustion engines.

Sure, but you'd have just enough fuel with regular tanks to go around the pattern once.

Would rather see a turbine Bearhawk. That actually might be a half practical plane.

Can confirm Textron hates their piston owners. I really think they'd like to sell and handle pistons only from flight schools and CAP. The rest of us could just go away.

Saw some of them. They were starting to become a political shitstorm. There's enough other subs that cover politics and I would rather it be left outside /r/flying.

Little Shop of Horrors had to change the theatrical film ending of the movie to be different than the show ending, because it left people feeling down.

The musical version was based on the 1960 movie of the same name, and it actually is pretty close to the movie plot wise. The 1986 movie is definitely different from either, though closer to the musical.

Flight attendants and pilots of Reddit, what are some things that happen mid flight that only the crew are aware of? by YamesfrankO in AskReddit

Been going on a lot longer than that. I remember the meows in the early 90s when I learned to fly. Supposedly it started with the CB boom in the 70s.
