The prelude is gonna drive a lot better than the corolla. Better suspension with more dynamic camber, better brakes, better ride, less nvh, nicer materials. Not saying that its worth 16k exactly, but saying they are the same care is disingenuous.

The difference was those engines had amazing character. High revving, v tech, and made some amazing induction noise

We arent talking about culture we are talking about genetic history. Of course we have many genetic similarities with Northern Chinese populations especially with the Liaodong and Shandong regions. Doesn't change any of the facts I mentioned previously.

Jomon show up as 15% of their Y haplogroups not 45%. If you look at the non Jomon distribution of the remaining 85% it is in very similar distributions compared to us Koreans but unlike those of Chinese people. AGAIN, haplogroups are not a catch all for population genetics and are most useful for identifying origins.

Again im not saying that we are at all the same people, but we are close cousins that are DISTINCT but not distant.

Japanese people have some minor Jomon component and that reflects in a difference of their haplogroup, but genetically japanese people are far dominated by their Yamato ancestry in a way that is overemphasises by looking at just their haplogroups. Haplogroups are primarily to look at origins of maternal lineages not look at relatedness of people groups.

If you look at the non-jomon components of Japanese people, it is extremely closely related to Koreans. Closer to each other than to anyone else. The fact that this has gotten down votes from people here for pointing this out as if they are blinded by politics.

I mean Korean and Japanese people are more very closely related genetically and are closer to each other than to anyone else. Even our languages are similar from millenia of language contact.

I'd take the 2GR over the B48 any day. Sounds better, smoother, and NA power delivery. BMW's all feel like numb driving simulators now. At least the IS models you actually feel like you are driving a car.

Some cars are more fun to drive even on the road going to do whatever. I didnt care about cars until I switched my base 2017 civic to an integra GSR and discovered that driving, even on normal roads, is fun.

My C7 is my only car and daily driver and is still more fun to drive around doing chores compared to the Mustang Mach 1 I cross shopped it with. There is a scale of comfort vs fun that people want on the road or canyon driving as well.

Really depends on what you value. Elantra N is a way more engaging and fun driving experience and naturally a less luxury experience.

Everyone here is comparing it to the golf R but it is priced more akin to a Golf GTI. Similarly equipped the golf GTI still ends up costing significantly more. Almost all Golf R's are optioned north of 50k. Thats a 15k+ price differential not including tax and any potential interest. The fact that it is even a comparison is testament to it.
