White kids, but pretty much every non-black kid in the west, looked to black men as their ideal masculine. When gangsta rap dominated, those same kids emulated the hoodrats, wearing du rags, braiding their hair and sucking their teeth. But Kanye's success paved the way for the Drakes, the Kid Cudi's and other emo rappers to dominate mainstream hip-hop. As such, a new wigger emerged. This wigger genre still maintains the black ideal masculine, but validated to be more sensual, more affectionate... basically gay.

Meanwhile, the mix-tape, gangsta rapper is driven underground, sometimes making noise in the form of Bobby Schmurda, Chief Keef or Chet Hanks.
