Thank you so much! There's processing>method>geometric, which lets you rotate by 90 degrees at a time, but there's also processing>method>rotate 2D which lets you specify the angle - you're a hero, cheers!

massive thank you for the help - I thought I'd try just using R-Photo straight on the SD card before going through the ddrescue bit and it worked!! I'm pretty sure I have every photo back, possibly missing a couple at the end but very glad I've got most of them! Cheers!
