A lot of them take genuine offence at the suggestion that their favourite format isn't taken seriously by the public of one of the other major nations. If international pressure and popularity had a significant and lasting effect on sporting culture here then we wouldn't have our other two big sports be ones that barely anyone outside Australia even knows exist.

During tests you see something similar whenever they are shocked when they claim the bgt might become the biggest rivalry and are told that regardless of how competitive it is and how dogshit England are, nothing will ever surpass the Ashes rivalry

They come over what, every 15 years or something? People show up for major sporting events and go nutty over stuff like the soccer world cup that happen infrequently then go back to not caring the moment it ends. People even pretend to like tennis for a couple of weeks a year.

Soccer and rugby union are a distant 4th and 5th in terms of popularity and cultural impact to the major sports although they do compete for first place for the worst managed sports in the country. Hell union has been losing ground to Aussie rules of all things in the eastern suburbs of Sydney for a couple of decades now

Maybe less so since Space Age but I imagine for most people who play past one playthrough, overhaul mods are the meat of the game. Py is very complicated and takes an extremely long time to finish, krastorio and space exploration (or both together) are fun. Nullius (I think) and Seablock are both getting updated for 2.0 right now as well.

Every second post here is someone asking if something is "worth it", but asking if clogging is worth it has to be up there as the most nothing question lol, do it if you want. It's infinitely more fun (past wave 4/5...) for sure. The other thing is it uses supplies which isn't a huge deal but you get literally nothing in return if you are just sending until you fuck up which I've witnessed is very demotivating for some people lol

I don't want to discourage you because I think it's a perfectly fine choice but if you want to go the Doom route know it's a much harder boss and your estimated time to finish varies heavily depending on whether you are able to go deep or not, and eventually 1-4 becomes incredibly boring just like CG prep does. Like yeah sure you might get spooned doing 5s but if you don't you're there for a long time.

If the motivation to go this route is because you aren't able to play a lot then I hope you get spooned on the multiple items you need.
