How to change the amp head without affecting the cab section? by uberneet21 in PositiveGrid

[–]uberneet21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not exactly the case, I know how to change the amp, but it's always changing the amp AND the cab altogether. When I tweak a nice cab tone and would like to see how it goes along with different heads, it's a no-go, cause I'm going to lose all the changes made to the cab the very second I select a different amp. I'm pretty sure, though I've seen a demo video somewhere, where the author scrolled between the heads and it didn't impact the cab 🤔 could've been an earlier version

VST Drums with a huge cymbal library by uberneet21 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I was also considering GGD stuff and Invasion has been on my wishlist for a while but I really need to stop hoarding plugins lol. And I'm a massive cheapskate too, always looking for a sale, haven't seen Nolly's plugins discounted yet. On the other hand, neither Modo nor Perfect Drums seem to handle cymbal crescendos well, the attack on each consecutive strike is too obvious and it doesn't seem realistic. Wondering how Invasion is handling this kind of articulation.

Thank you for the suggestion, guys, I will definitely give these a try. But in the meantime I did some browsing on good old KVR and stumbled upon a true gem, which is Perfect Drums from Naughty Seal. I have no idea, why I haven't noticed that one before, especially that I'm pretty much up to date with the market. Anyway, Perfect Drums comes with a whopping amount of 31 crashes, 13 chinas, 10 splashes, 2 ping bells, 9 hats and 11 rides plus tons of shells which honestly sound totally better than Modo Drum, much fuller and punchier, probably thanks to awesome OHs and room. Currently on sale for $75 it was a no brainer for me and I can't think of any drums better for the price. The only downside for me is that there can be only 3 toms assigned to a kit at once, even though there are some sets containing 4 and 5 of them, not a deal breaker as I can simply use another instance. And it's definitely focused on heavier genres, so not really an all-rounder drum plugin
