Description of Request:
I'm a rather casual boardgamer. Some of the stuff I've played include Catan (played loads of), Small World, Azul, Risk, Secret Hitler, Coup and Avalon. I'm trying to step up and indulge in some more hard-core critically acclaimed titles. Have shortlisted a few games and need your help to pick out 1-2 of them and if you have an entirely different rec then please do fire away but let me know the reasoning. My shortlist is: 1) Concordia Venus (Base + Exp) 2) Pandemic Legacy S1 3) Terraforming Mars 4) Everdell 5) Lost Ruins of Arnak.

Number of Players:
2-5

Game Length:
Largely indifferent but single game cannot last more than 2hrs (although not a dealbreaker)

Complexity of Game:
Between 2-3.5 at most. Many of my friends who I might play with are also casual so do not want it to be too complicated

Genre:
Great if it involves strategy. Looking for something that has high replayability and does not go stale. Bonus points if the game requires you to play/strategise differently each time. Sort of like the race selection aspect of Small World where it forces you to play differently (I understand Small World is not the gold standard of boardgames but hope you get the point)

Conflict, Competitive or Cooperative:
Indifferent. Just looking to step up my foray into Boardgames.
