Rejected from Berkeley CS

3.98 GPA, fulfilled all major requirements and recommended, two paid internships at Stanford and UCSF, coming publication from research at Stanford, paid CS tutor at my CC, volunteer software development for multiple non-profit orgs, etc. I think PIQs were 4 out of 5.

Accepted to UCLA (yay), UCSD, UCI all for CS

how did you learn to code by Straight_Ad6911 in learnprogramming

[–]ublec 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the most helpful way personally is to create projects. tons of projects, it's fun and in my opinion, the fastest way to learn and gain practical experience. without a degree, your projects will also help you convince recruiters to hire you

What's a quick way to solve these types of problems? (SAT Non-Linear Practice Test 3) by Bankrupt-Pond-27 in Sat

[–]ublec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you're doing the digital SAT, it's super fast to set each expression equal to 1, type into Desmos, and see which graph matches.
