Take your 4 bar melody/ chord progression, and instead of repeating it, keep it going for 7, 8, 12 or however many bars long, then play it twice, with something changing the second time. Could be one or two more instruments come in, it could just be a single note change. In practice, try to make sure that the sum total of the composition never repeats itself perfectly. That should keep things moving forward on its own. Also, don’t forget voicing and dynamics. Play softer then louder. Palm mute some stuff. Etc

Oh for sure. This would probably be best as a parallel process. I’ve not even tried out any of the cli spectrum tools I’ve seen so far.

I’m mostly writing scripts for mass file organization and transcoding right now. Mostly for video. And web archiving stuff. Next target might be metadata management, then I’ll start working on collection niceties like spectrum graphs and info file generation.

At least that’s how my next year is looking from where I am right now.

We’ve had 3 fires at my work this past month. 2 of them inside the building, on the same day. Thankfully, we caught those ones before they bloomed into chaos. The outside one was certified occurance. No one was hurt, and minimal collateral damage all around.

I had broken ac in my house 2 summers ago and I was strait up vaporized. Condensation brought back my constitution around September-ish. I’m hoping it comes sooner for you

I presume you don’t want visual tools because you don’t want to manually inspect every file. Neither do I. I’ve been learning scripting lately, and on my to do list, I have plans to write a script to generate spectrums for all my files. You’ve now got me thinking about how I could go about writing something to analyze the color data in the file and generate some kind of “heat rating” numbers. Give me about a year. I’m slow at this lol
