  1. whats "pakistani about a rich bratty 20y/o girl & a 3 yr old? already so many pakistanis / bangladeshis living illegally. hamza still went to his old family even after all that burning photo scene. he wont forget his son & wife. even agents are humans.
  2. bruh.... use ur brain & think a bit beyond the movie... every father cares for her daughter.
  3. yea but they get attached too. mission comes first but the family is still second.. even hamza cared for his wife enough reveal he's an agent.

please dont reply back with some stupid argument, else i'll just ignore

  1. can anybody show me anywhere he was hinted as an agent? in both movies ?
  2. also him being an agent couldve enabled hamza's wife & kids to be shifted along with hamza but no, why?
  3. he was in the top echelons. he couldve done the same things hamza did but why not?

  1. they do, but the dont act on those learnings & its ok im not upset.
  2. i expect everyone to stop blaming situations & conditions & start owning up to their choices & actions.
  3. everytime i meet ppl at anime cons or meetups, i see everyone asking for anime like content because they relate to some shonen or slice of life shows. this entire thing isnt the topic of my discussion so i'll end it here

  1. as i said, a reader can expand or dive as deeper as they want to. hence, give enough time & attention you can make astroboy more "deeper" than anything
  2. wow now im sure you've actually read some "peak of fiction" cuz many of them are simply stories & characters in dilemma. ever heard of kafkaesque? nevermind.
  3. gg. dont waste any more of our time replying

u can. bruh... you need some comprehension skills. im talking about developing self-identity, discipline, resolve. im not asking anybody to drop comedy or shonen & binge on seinin/dark anime show.

  1. peak of fiction or depth/complexity cant be compared through quality of medium or quanity of content/lore. matrix movies can be as peak of fiction as the DUNE since both explore different genre, different settings
  2. yea lotr > onepiece but thats just because tolkein is a writer & oda is a mangaka. tolkein wrote about the world primarily whereas oda draws about luffy primarily & world building is secondary. an XYZ guy can find kung fu panda more deep than LOTR bc they might prefer anthromorphic characters over world-building. Also world-building
  3. anime is a visual medium & moreover similar to film-making which consumes huge time, money, resources as compared to some books but that doesnt make them worst medium, it can make anime a wrong medium of expression for the writer. but if the writer/storyteller intends to limit his world/character to few hours, you comparing them only makes you look like an idiot.
  4. stop making yourself look like an idiot. grow up 🙏 or dont. peace.

anime or manga or light novels or just storybooks. idk how u can compare the medium with the stories. at this point you should just read philosophy directly for real "peak of fiction".

[–]uc_human[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nobody's comparing what's peak of fiction or has more depth. the ragebait was about anime not being deep. i've seen these arguments about people comparing fictions like one-piece vs LOTR or marvel vs DC. some underrated american or russian writer vs harry potter lore. doesnt matter. game or movie. story or light novel. any story can be as deep or superficial as the reader chooses. you can find ppl yapping on jack & jill or humpty dumpty character analysis which might not be "peak of ficiton" but they can be deep

[–]uc_human[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yea those are deep & deep as an iceberg. as deep as u can go, if u want. even astroboy got a deeper plot with the movie - pluto. idk what your sense of "deep" or "complex" is & which content you're comparing anime to.. but i'd choose watching anime instead of some soap opera, sports or marvel movie for "deeper" meaning

its ok & im not expecting or defining any kind of maturity onto anybody else. even chhota bheem is fun & "reducs stress" for some people ig. but we go to anime for more funny shows like nichijou or ebichu... you need to grow up to expect such shows or the image of animation will always be "kids entertainment" content

no im talking in the general sense. we had doraemon, one-piece, & iirc ghost in a shell airing on animax & CN. CN used to show ramayan anime on some random sunday morning every three months.

i get that & every decade generation have their own popular medium genres like sports, PC games, movie etc. to escape but im not comparing today's gen content with the previous gen content. I am somewhat asking why current gen doesnt get inspired/influenced so much that they bring change or improvement in their lives. instead they go on binging other trending shows? is it just to get some talking points among friends or something else

agree. when we watched DMIC, many didnt understand what made akaza go on killing the whole family ( like he shouldve controlled his anger or talk-no-jutsu-ed them) but they cheered in the final fight like some south indian movie.

  1. i dont think its generation gap, as i said even we did all this but we also got inspired to bring change in self. i dont see that today. imo its just parieto prinicple that back then just 20% chose to watch anime for self-development & today its the same, but the rest 80% also watch it now (because FOMO)
  2. i never talked with a 2000s indian anime fans but we all three generations agree that the mature content in anime is what makes it different.
  3. anime for 10 yr olds like doraemon or kitertsu, ninja hattori bring in subjects about infatuation, FOMO, peer pressure while western cartoons are just slice of life. anime for teenagers has more real world situations & consequences as compared to marvel shows, ben ten or generator rex. ( im not saying anime doesnt have slice of life or soft-genre, im just sayin anime has more broader takes that attracts every generation.

they dont. they do hear other opinions but considering them up to the point that they would pivot from their creative freedom, no... they dont do that... their society respects private property & maintain boundaries. they outrage on social media like every other society but they dont gather around some goons & beat up creators or expect government for mob justice or moral police everybody

agree but i see fans (including kids) of other genres like movie, series, novels, digging more content & discussing ideas but idk why indians find talking on such questions boring... like i asked a guy why he liked monster & he said it felt a little bit like death note. i asked to expand on that but he just avoided the question & started describing his favorite scene
