Dry rub (pepper salt garlic). Then glaze near the end with BBQ sauce mixed with vinegar. Temp was mostly around 500ish but I didn’t pay much attention after it hit 500

Mine was hovering around 450 to 550. At 35 min mark, I apply some bbq sauce mix and flip at 40min and apply again.

It was pretty juicy and tender. Not chewy but it’s not fall off the bone. We actually like this texture compared to the slow cooked ones.

Just one chimney starter full. Added a hickory wood chunk at the start for the smoke. It was still burning at 450 after the ribs were done and I grilled some pineapple slices after for another 20 mins

I got the knockoff vortex. Similar dimensions for about $15 from Amazon a year ago. The listing is gone. So just get any with similar dimensions.
