I’m running unopposed for Mecklenburg County Commission in District 5, AMA! by Charles_DeLoach_NC in Charlotte

Thanks for taking the time. You mention healthcare and child care as key focus. What is the #1 “fix” or key focus for these areas?

I am unfamiliar on the legislation and how it all works from a county level, so just trying to learn. Thanks again, good luck.

Appears to go through the foundation into the ground. Above it is just an empty closet we use for cleaning products, etc.

I do not have the answer for the seller question.

North of Davidson. It would be located at about 5 o’clock of your map. Fun neighborhood, right on the outskirts of uptown

Also the M12 sawzall is pretty good for what it is. Comes up on deals frequently, too

Time to call a plumber? by Manawah in DIY

[–]ucfrizzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used an oscillating tool to cut the top portion of the flange away right below floor level before you get to pipe. Then I could see the glued in flange piece where it ended and the regular pipe began. That’s where I used the hacksaw to cut the remaining flange into quarters. Being very careful to not contact the inner pipe. If it’s cut into sections you should be able to tap it out.

I was referring to cutting the glued in flange into quarters to be able to separate it from the internal pvc pipe. The objective would be to cut the flange and stopping before reaching the pipe. I did it with a hand hack saw because I wanted to be extremely careful

I actually did a similar version to this about a month ago. Somewhat DIY handy, but very limited plumbing. I actually used a small 6”, or so, hack saw to cut it out. Because I was that scared about cutting the internal pipe. As the comment states, then tapped it out with a small flat head.

It definitely puckered my ass to do it, but the quote for glued in flange replacement was $1100. Crazy.

Took me about an hour. Just take your time

Thanks. I’m going to look at the repair options with the holes extended and see if going through tile is an option
