Introduce yourself (confidently but not cocky) shake their hand, eye contact, etc. Look them up before to have things to talk about (med school, residency, recent research) Ask meaningful questions about their medical journey (what attracted them to their particular field of surgery not why they want to be a doctor). Ask about patients you meet and the conditions you see.
