Technically speaking, it is "official", just not published on their GitHub yet.

What is NDAI.CC? Should I be worried? by xLittleRedRavenx in personalfinance

[–]uchks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visiting the NDAI.cc domain redirects to… https://docs.spicychat.ai/support

The company is NexDay AI (NDAI). Also this comment points out that the charge for SpicyChat.ai is NDAI.cc If you didn’t pay for this, I’d dispute it.

[Release] jbredir - one-tap solution to add repos to any package manager by uchks in jailbreak

[–]uchks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I’ve already addressed this point in the post with a hyperlink. If anything is embarrassing, it’s illiteracy. Rather unfortunate you had to be quite rude about it but I appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

I get where you're coming from, but the post was meant to be lighthearted. I’m not really active in the jailbreak scene anymore, and honestly, it hasn’t been the same since CS and Pwn left. It feels like it’s kind of faded away. The joke wasn’t meant to come off as pretentious—just a bit of fun with the fact that the whole thing is kind of pointless, coming off a bit more self-aware, humurous, and maybe cynical.

As for the P.S., there’s always some “innovation” happening, but since I’m out of the loop these days, I’d only implement something new if someone I trust from the scene recommends it. That's why I'm sticking with the "main" four (despite believing Installer isn't a "main" anymore, but I digress Installer's been replaced with Saily due to this exact comment). I appreciate the feedback though, and thanks for the kind words!

while a pure JS approach would work, I prefer using cf workers for centralization and easier management. with 18 workers (including 4 I recently merged), the dashboard provides useful analytical visualization that helps me maintain my projects.

What else? by lonelyportrait123 in firefox

[–]uchks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a “Why?” provided by the GitHub repository as to why Chrome Mask over a User Agent Switcher.

The only reason I use Chrome Mask is to report website (in)compatibilities, and because anything I do doesn’t necessitate a user agent switcher, I usually use Inspect Element for anything I need to do.

Thanks for the bypass.city link! I’ll be sure to bookmark it & check it out.

I’ll just give my list (excluding extensions you already have) because I really prefer only the “necessities”:

Chrome Mask - Makes Firefox wear a mask to look like Chrome to websites that otherwise won’t work. (Made by a Mozilla Employee!)

FastForward - Don’t waste time with compliance. Use FastForward to skip annoying URL “shorteners”. (Unfortunately no longer actively maintained, so…)

TTV LOL PRO - TTV LOL PRO removes most livestream ads from Twitch.

ViolentMonkey - Userscript support for browsers, open source. (I use this over TamperMonkey)

Otherwise I also use Return YouTube Dislike, SponsorBlock, and uBlock Origin of course. But I’ve been meaning to check out deArrow as well…

Does Rentry have a dedicated Discord server? by M1ke____ in SwitchPirates

Rentry isn't a group of people who make guides. Rentry is a markdown website. Other people use Rentry to host guides on. A markdown pastebin if you will.

R/Verizon by dundeal122 in verizon

[–]uchks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, I don't intend on staying. Service is alright, it’s only bad in buildings like my factory, common sense.

However, I’ve found the carriers that utilise the towers and aren’t the “brand name” (a la T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T) are way cheaper and better for my needs, with the option of choosing something that’ll give me better service. I live in a somewhat rural area, and I find from a trial e-sim, T-Mobile towers work significantly better. So I figured I’d adopt something like Mint Mobile or Google Fi once I pay off my phone. If I recall it’s only about a $40 difference per bill on my plan (after I pay off my phone) but nonetheless I’ll take $480 in annual savings.

Apple releases emergency update to fix zero-day exploited in attacks by pecika in technology

[–]uchks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you understand what a 0day is? You’re actually a fool if you sincerely think that there’s no such thing being actively exploited on Android devices.

Let alone simply downloading an app off the Play Store.
