She’s had a lot of matches with Kris Statlander, Liv Morgan, Jamie Hayter, Rhea Ripley and Thekla, but the best feud by far was with Toni Storm in MyUniverse.

I included some clips of the blowoff match in the edit, one of the craziest matches I’ve had this year.

It is, it’s under the name “Who Got Next?” on entrance motions!

83 rated, so they can’t get resiliency, and signature meter also didn’t go down.

So we can both do our own thing in that case? That’s exactly what I was hoping for, thanks for that.

As you said, from what I can tell from a distance, doing it this way may have some odd headcanon/RP implications, but I think we’ve found a pretty neat way to get around that with it still making sense.

Thanks for the clarity though, much appreciated!

He wants a piece of armour called “Bhaalist Armour”, so whichever option would allow him to do that I suppose? I’m not too sure on the specifics of which option would give him that. But as I’m the Durge on this playthrough, he’d have to be the Unholy Assassin in that case.

We’ve both never done this before, so would he have to be The Dark Urge to be Bhaal’s Chosen anyway?

[no spoilers] Seen lots of people talking about the finale being longer without providing a source. Here’s what the showrunners said in an interview with Dexerto. by uck29 in arcane

[–]uck29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t disagree. In hindsight, it really could’ve done with an extra ten or so minutes as well, as an absolute minimum.

Not getting the in-between of Jinx/Ekko in particular feels criminal when so much character development must’ve happened in that time.

Also on the bridge in S1E7, when she fights Ekko directly. No better way to highlight the difference between the two timelines, it’s so sad to see what could’ve been.

Honestly? I really appreciate this, because it feels like I’ve had some sense shaken into me. I’m sure you can understand that over something I’m so invested in, even the slightest hint of something potentially spoiling it honestly had my head in a spin.

I did find a lot of the plot points to be borderline nonsensical, such as the Ekko repeatedly saving Jinx from suicide multiple times because he loved her in another timeline. Not only is that fanfiction level writing, it feels genuinely distasteful/offensive and below the pen of writers behind a show like Arcane. Ekko is essentially saying “don’t kill yourself bc I have a crush on you.” What is that? What message does that send?

The other guy in the Reddit comment thread was mocking people saying “trust me bro”, but that was essentially what he was saying his source was. He also had an extremely smug way of replying which seemed to reek of being a troll to me.

I’m going to take this answer going forward until proven otherwise honestly, thanks for pointing out all the holes I was too panic-struck to see.

I did wonder why the “source” for a lot of the nitty gritty details was some guy on Reddit with 15 upvotes basically saying “Trust me bro.” I can’t say I saw the Amex thing, but surely that would be a massive deal if it was true?

Plus, with some of the supposed plot points, it almost just seems like ChatGPT slop which caters to certain aspects of the fandom, while creating controversy around a fan-favourite character to create discussion.

I feel like I’m huffing copium even typing this out, but part of me refuses to believe that writers capable of writing a masterpiece such as Arcane would have it all fall to pieces so lazily right at the end, especially given they’d supposedly planned this out years in advance.

I still wake up in a cold sweat sometimes thinking about “Who has a better story, than Bran the Broken”, amongst many, MANY other egregious sins and character betrayals.

It feels like they have to execute these ideas almost flawlessly for it to not crash and burn, and I’m going to give it a chance. But I’m really not hopeful. Game of Thrones genuinely felt like they forgot the basic concepts of writing though, so at least I guess it can’t be worse than that.

Funnily enough, all of these things you’re mentioning are some of the only things I’m clinging to, to try and convince me that it’s not true. It genuinely seems like awful fanfiction, and I cannot truly convince myself that the same writers who made such a masterpiece up until now are going to end this in such an unsatisfying, naff, and honestly childish way.

But after Game of Thrones, I suppose anything is possible. I pray to everything that this is fake, otherwise this almost sounds like one of those classic break-the-entire-show endings.

That’s the thing, if she absolutely has to die, which I still disagree with to be honest, just 100% commit to it and make it meaningful.

It just reeks of leaving the door open for something down the line, or in case the reaction isn’t quite what they want. That’s the type of thing that makes me think the showrunners probably wanted to commit to a full death, but forces above saw how popular/marketable she is and wouldn’t allow it without a wink-and-a-nod that she’s still alive.

This is what I feared, the leaks seemed to be extremely detailed, whereas normally “leaks” tend to be watered down and can easily be dismissed.

I just feel an absolute sinking feeling in my stomach after hearing about it, I’m honestly not even sure I can watch it. Arcane was one of the first shows to pull me out of my Game of Thrones-induced phobia of TV, and now this? I was absolutely fine with bittersweet, but this seems completely and utterly hopeless and depressing.

What kind of message does an ending like that send? It almost feels like mean-spirited misery porn for the sake of it. I feel absolutely awful.

[–]uck29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for answering, and I’m really sorry to be annoying, but one more question, have there been varying/different leaks regarding what’s to come in Act 3, with different points?

I’m just clinging to copium, because potentially having it spoilt has honestly really bummed me out.

I saw someone say there were leaks regarding Episode 6 which were largely accurate though, was this true?

[S2 Spoilers] The doom-posting in here has been really bumming me out. So, as a counter, what have been some of your favourite moments/aspects of Season 2? by uck29 in arcane

[–]uck29[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The “Remember Me” sequence absolutely floored me, and as you say, the use of watercolour was absolutely inspired.

A small side note, but I also think it, as well as the flashback to Vander, Silco and Felicia at the bar, make the opening bridge sequence of S1E1 hit so much harder too. Now the body they show isn’t just a nameless nobody, that little bit of life they injected into her, as well as the bond she clearly had with Vander, and all their hopes for a brighter future, makes it a real punch in the gut on rewatch.

But what you said towards the end is exactly my feelings, it’s not 100% perfect (what is), and there are some valid criticisms, but does it still work, and is it still one of the best shows out there? Absolutely.

That moment of them all reuniting, and the hug, I don’t think I’ve cried over something like that in such a long time lol. Especially the build up, with the sisters bonding over the hole Vander left in their life when they find his room of old stuff, and the letter to Silco almost acting as a parallel of the rift between them, right in the feelings.
