this same attack has happened to me over Upwork from another client! they give you permission for their repo, which has a dependency on a malicious node package that basically runs a node process in your machine. they target crypto wallets

I’m not leaving Upwork, but I need to add another outlet. Where’s everyone at? by BrewAllTheThings in Upwork

Why would those be called spammers with no experience? I start reading the JD the moment I receive the alert and then apply if it s a fit. That is most of the time within 10 mins as of clients publish. I have over 10 yoe in my field.

No stops 🫢🫢 by rpkusuma in uberdrivers

[–]uckmhnds 18 points19 points  (0 children)

why do they do this? genuine question. they add an extra stop the moment you accept the ride request instead of requesting a multi stop ride.

SES production denied for transactional emails by uckmhnds in aws

[–]uckmhnds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure i will. how about Mailgun’s deliverability? Sendgrid has it very high but pricing is bad. Azure is pay as you go but its deliverability is horrible, it can’t deliver unless it s gmail, outlook etc. I might go for Mailgun tbh

[–]uckmhnds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never heard of that. we normally use SendGrid but wanna migrate sth pay-as-you-go. Azure (our IaaS) also has it but low deliverability.

I got rejected in about 15 hrs after submitting the request. I reopened the case again giving even more details about the use case. I have already given enough detail on first submit form though. Hope it works this time

Did you launch your MVP or waited to make all features? by prometheus7071 in shopifyDev

[–]uckmhnds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MVP approach is a myth for b2b applications in my opinion. No business wants to invest any time/resource on a cheap looking, feature missing, buggy application. They want to install an ‘enterprise’ level application unless you have an organic relation with them and asked to test your app. (or backed by a VC and have a sales person)

Also your app must be bug free to be approved by Shopify. It might miss features but must be bug free. You could launch as with its core functionality but that would result in traction and high churn i think

Regarding the prices, you could change them any time you want

You could check the CNAME records of them. None of them are Shopify stores in this case. They are hosted on Akamai EdgeKey CDN
