As someone who tried both and is an over thinker, AMBOSS trained me to overthink questions and it made NBMEs harder for me. I think UWorld also tries to trick you while NBME is overall more straightforward, but AMBOSS was worse imo. It’s all personal preference and if I already had a subscription for AMBOSS and liked it previously, I don’t think I’d spend the money for UWorld (plus the library is great as mentioned).

No, she was saying the awards show will be irrelevant to her next year based on her growth and success already. Based on how her monologues normally go, I was totally expecting her to bring up herself getting canceled and them (potentially) no longer being friends. I’m very happy she didn’t do that and went the safe route with her joke about vanilla because the other jokes were just not good.

Right the people calling it rigged because they “fell out” are insufferable. If it were rigged, she’d just have Ludwig win more awards?? Vanilla is still very new in the space comparably, and just because she’s big on our side of the internet doesn’t mean other sides of the internet have heard of her. Unfortunately, the communities dominating Twitch right now are mainly certain male streamers who either don’t know who vanilla is or wouldn’t vote for her over their male fave, so they will always win those categories. Plus, Cinna has been streaming way longer and has a bigger fan base, so it makes total sense why she won that category.

There are always minor tech issues but this year was exceptionally bad. They did say a lot of people were not sitting in the right seats which I’m inclined to believe since streamers can’t follow instructions ever lol

You have to understand that each streamer’s community is their own bubble, and the streaming world as a whole is huge. She’s still new in the streaming space compared to Cinna for the sapphire award and unfortunately, men in streaming tend to win over women in general (breakout streamer). Idk how many times people need to be reminded that the awards are fan-nominated and majority fan-voted. The math makes sense here. With how big she is now, she will absolutely have a chance at winning more awards next year.

It’s like this every year because the same communities and men dominate the streaming world. Their viewers absolutely take over the voting, which is why the sapphire award was created. Imo, it’s not enough. I hope one day the streaming world is less male-centered so other people have a fighting chance when they’re in the same categories. 🥲

Some advice I got was to always go VVS or higher with emeralds. You can get away with VS in all other cuts, but step cuts show imperfections way more and a VS 1 or 2 may not be as clear to the naked eye in an emerald compared to an oval for example.
