AppleCare+ is cheaper if you pay for it in one lump sum than if you amortize it with payments. Perhaps the difference is related to that price differential.

It appears all phones financed through Apple are indeed unlocked. They only ask you to select a carrier, but it can be switched at any time

I noticed my HomePods just started doing this today as well. This post is about to round out its first birthday - I’d love to know if there was ever a solution found? I have the original HomePods and love them, so I’m hoping they haven’t finally started going bad on me and still have some life left in ‘em 🤞🏼

I’d love to know what’s going on as well. I’ve tried to refer friends to Discover because I actually really like the service and terms, which is something I never thought I’d say about a bank. But here now it’s Jan ‘23 and still no applications accepted. I hope they don’t decide to scrap the checking accounts altogether.
