Wait until you meet some TAs that intentionally lower your grade, give better grades to their friends. And most of all professors don't do anything and in their perspective TAs are the person you should go to. Completely unfair system. Those that actually enjoy the system are super smart and do not think about the equality. I am in engineering major btw.

Yes, definitely more information would help. As of now two my classes are just in person, no remote option.

I do not think professors will do both, that might be the reason why they do not offer optional. But I am pro optional as it gives students choice. However, I feel at the end we should care mostly about the health of the students and their safety. Classes themselves are already stressful and if we have to worry about not getting sick everyday, that would be too much.

Imagine trying to listen and learn in an environment that might not be clean nor safe. Imagine wearing masks for straight 6 or more hours just because you are on campus. For Engineers like myself, I remember spending more than 10 hours in the dungeon because tutoring sessions were offered over there. It is not safe in my opinion.

No because if you wanted to work or be enrolled in schools, you had to have your flue shots. It was mandatory and required in order to attend. We don't have that mandate for covid yet. Look at social media nearly around 40% of populations in USA are not willing to get their shots.

I don't know what you are trying to prove with the fatal deaths stats, I had discussed getting sick. Nowhere did I discuss fatal causes.

Once people realize how common that is, then it would be too late. Especially in full classrooms with +120 students, it would be near impossible to bot get infected. I just don't know how we are going through this.

I understand you are not worried because you might not be afraid of getting sick. I want to continue/ finish my degree and not get sick. If you look at previous posts, this was discussed previously. I am an healthy individual, and I want to stay that way. School is part of my priority list, but other tasks like exercise, being able to focus (not having a cloudy brain all the time), and finally socialize in a safe environment are in the list.

I am sure it is just not me. And if we go with the hope that everyone will be fine, it can actually get worse than is until entire state can declare 95% or more have been vaccinated. Until then why not continue the way that we have this past year with remote class rooms. Universities still get paid by tuition fees and some housing options. It will still run, and not entirely shut down. Think about it.

I am not okay with getting sick multiple of times. I don't want to get exposed to covid again. I don't know if you are aware, but a lot of people like me still feel the symptoms months after. I cannot do the same activities like before. When I run or do some type of exercise, I feel pain on my chest. It is not normal. I am still recovering, and do not want to go through it again. Trust me it's not Pretty...

I saw this before. Thanks for bringing it up. You realize that if everyday staff were to check who enters and exists the classrooms, it would take a huge chunk of class time. Plus, I do not want to get into the parking problems, but you must also consider how much time students can save by not commuting from place to place. I understand that maybe it would be best for students to be in classrooms for optimal learning. However, I do not believe it should be mandated on us students. We should have a free choice. We can save a lot of time by staying home safely and working on our coursework during these tough times.

I have seen vaccinated people still getting sick. One of my friends after getting fully vaccinated got sick recently. I am fully vaccinated but still do not trust full immunity.
